This was the start of the long awaited band trip. Fifty- four band members , including their leader Gordon Cayley, made this trip. The bus stopped outside of Barrie at a service station to let . CONTINIED ON PAGE 19 Bill Moffat Sells lucknow Home Mrs. Margaret MacDonald of Hamilton has purchased the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Moffat on Clyde Street in Lucknow. Posses- sion will be obtained the end of July. Mrs. MacDonald is a sister.of Mrs. Jean King of Goderich arid an aunt of Mrs. John Fludder and Mrs. Gary Hoffman of Lucknow. Mrs. MacDonald has a family of six, three of whom are still residing at home. They are teenagers andiall girls and will re- side with their mother in Lucknow. Bill and Donna Moffat will move to their farm on the 4th of Kinloss which Bill recently pur- chased from Omar Brooks. Three years ago they purchased their Lucknow home from the Car lentz family in Kinlogs and moved. the house to its present site in the village. t; .1 • Graduates From Veterinary College ADRIAN MILTENBURG Adrian Miltenburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Miltenburg R. R. 7 Lucknow , graduated with a ' degree of Doctor. of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veter inary College, University of Guelph. He also received the award for proficiency in large animal medicine. The convoca tion was held Friday, May 24th.at War Memorial Hall; Guelph. ' .Adrian has accepted a position . with the Eldale Veterinary clinic in Elmira. Barbara Wilkins, 21, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilkins of Ashfield, received Advanced Honours for completing 18 4-H clubs. Barbara' has completed 3 years of a 4-year Course in' Applied Human Nutri- United Church Undertake $25,000 Renovation The Lucknow United Church has commenced a major renovation program to the front entrance of the church as well as major re- pairs to the church roof. Total cost of the project will be about $25 ,000. The roof and window repair , painting and pointing is expected to cost in the neighbourhood of $10,000. The renovation'to the front en- trance will include a roof lower- ing. . which will, be extended over, the front steps. T,he new entrance will be• of glass and bronzed alum- inum which will improve the front appearance of the church. Cost of this work is $15,000. A canvass of all church mem- bers is being held this week to seek financial support for the undertaking. Some money, left as legacies, is available for the project. Goderick Man.
