The meet.: ine opened with the Ode and Mary Stewart Collect. EduCation was the theme of the meeting and the roll call was answered, "One way of improving our education after leaving school". , A cleaning bee at the Hall will be Wednesday, May 29, in the morning. The same evening the cornmittee will meet to make out programmes for the coming year. Mrs. Evan Keith was named as repreientative to meet with the Reunion Committee. District Annual Delegates are Mrs. George Young and Mrs. Evan Keith. A booth will be set up at the sale for Lawrence MacLeod May 27th with hits. Harold Campbell, Mrs. 'Irish Moffat and Mrs.. Lloyd Mac- Dougall the committee in charge. Each member is to send one pie. Anyone wishing to take the bus trip with Lucknow W.I. in June should get in touch with Mrs. Armstrong. Wilson. An amusing contest was conducted by Mrs. Bill Haldenby. The 4-H Club pin on the skit which had been prepared, and presented on Achievement .Day. The course was "Take a Look at Yourself". The topic "The Metric System" was ably dealt with and explained by Mrs. Allan MacIntyre and Mrs. Evan Keith. They explained the system and also showed a film. The Lucknow Fair Committee is Mrs. Hugh Jansen, Mrs. Wm. • Hal• denby and Mrs. Cliff Rouiston. The June meeting is the Sunshine Sister meeting With Mrs. Ira Dickie hostess (the hall) on Thur.sday, June 20th at 12.30 p.m. Courtesy remarks were giv- en by Mts. The commit - tee in charge served dessert and a cup of tea at 1.30 after which Mrs. Armstrong Wilson the president opened the meeting with the open- ing ode and Mary Stewart Collect. The correspondence was read and business dealt with. A bus trip to the Erland Lee Home was discussed. Mrs. Earl McDonald gave the cheerio report. Dele- gates to the district annual to be held in Ripley on May 21st were elected. Mrs. Alex McNay gave the report of the tea at .Bnicelea Haven. It was decided to con- tinue the meetings on the second Tuesday afternoon of the month as usual at 1.15. Mrs. Alex McNay invited'the ladies to her ?cottage for the June meeting, the meeting to be the first Thursday at 12.30, and a pot luck dinner. It was decided to have the Sunshine Sistet gift ex- change at Christmas this year stead of the annual 'meeting '. Mrs. Clarence Bell took charge ofthe program. The ladies sang two songs "Mother" and "Hit the trail that leads to Mother" accom- panied by Mrs. Wes, Ritchie. Mrs. Raymond Leddy gave a spendid report of her trip to the convention at Waterloo• University, featuring totirs to the Mennonite country giving insight into their way of living. The theme of the conference was nutrition. Mrs. Marshall Gibson gave a reading and• the meeting was •closed with the Queen.
