Music Festival
At North Ashfield

The pupils at North Ashfield
School participated last Tuesday
in an all day. Music Festival. Mr.
Lance MacDowell of London, who
is With the Ministry and music
consultant for this area was on
hand to adjudicate.
Winners in the various classes
received trophies: Laurie West,
girls 8-9 years; Duncan Simpson,
boys 9 years; duet class Rooni Sr.
3 and 4, Lisa Gibson and Julie
Collins; boys 10, Steven McKen-
zie; girls 10, Karen Metzger; boys
11, John Weigard; girls 11;12,
.Laurie Gibson; boys 12, Brian
Simpson; duet grades 5-6 , girls,
Mary Lillian Simpson and Helen
Simpson, boys, Paul: Hamilton and
Brian Simpson.
A•staff dinner was held during
the diy with 1VIr., Coulter, Mr.
Kenwell, Mr. MacDowell, Mrs.
Warren Zinn,..Mrs. Richie,, Mrs.
Mowbray, Mrs. Simpson and our
principal Mis. MacCharles in
attendance.
The day was very educational
and beneficial to everyone.

ma Jean of Galt visited Sunday
morning with his brother , Mr. .

afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Russell

Earl Swan had Sunday supper with
his aunt, Miss Margaret Dishcr of

Kenny ,Ritchie spent the week
end with his school churn, Bobby
Hackett on the 10th of Ashfield.

BAPTISMAL SERVICE
The Sacrament of Baptism was
observed at the Family Service at
South Kinloss on Sunday 'for Marita
Ann, infant daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Allan MacDougall. Seven
members of the band contributed
an instrumental number. Attend-
ance awards were presented to the
Sunday School pupils by Superin-
tendent, Donald, ,C, Macintyre,
Wayne Bell, Sec. Treas. , and
Rev. Glenn Noble.

family of Kitchener have moved a
large house trailer to their
