with Mr. and, Mrs. Robert Mow-

SOCIAL AND PRESENTATION-
Mrs. Robert McKague and Mrs.
Elgin Johnston were co-hostesses
at the latter's home on. Friday
evening May 3rd when neighbours
and' friends gathered to honour
Mrs. Thos. Metcalfe and Mrs.
Russell McGuire prior to their
departure to homes in Wingham
and Kitchener. 'Games and con-
tests were conducted by Miss
Mary Hehn and Mrs. McKague.
The honoured guests, Mrs. Met= .
calfe and Mrs. McGuire were pres-
ented with jewel boxes, vanity
-tray and set of towels for their
new homes. Both thanked the lad-
ies for their kindness in remember-•,
ing them in this way and for the
lovely gifts. The evening conclud
ed with a delightful smorgasbord.
Miss Marlene Evans, daughter
of.Mr. and Mrs. •Bob Evans of
Hamilton,_ with her friend was a
visitor on Saturday with her grand•
parents Mr. and Mrs:, Bill Evans.

don Hospital. The community
wishes her a speedy recovery.

On Wednesday Wayne Sprung
of Goderich, a University stud-
ent at Guelph, Dick Sand of Knox
College and Ron Moore of Sud-
bury recently returned from Aust-
ralia, were in,the yillage and
called on Mr. and Mrs. Victor
Emerson. Wayne and Ron were
assisting Dick Sand to get estab-
lished in the manse at Ripley,
where he will be ih charge 'of the
services at Ripley and Ashfield.
