'27 in Beigrave Corrimunity Centre.

party. Their sons Mr. and Mrs.
Bill Smyth of Hespeler and Mr.
and Mrs. Albert Srnyth 9f Water-
loo were also present.
At the close of the euchre party
Mr. and Mrs. Smyth were called
to the front and Sidney Thompson
read an address while Bradley
Galbraith and Jerry Jaretzke pres-
ented them with an oil painting
and a fill length mirror. Both
Mr. and Mrs. Smyth replied
thanking the folks for their kind-
ness in remembering them in this
way and for their beautiful gifts,
which would bring back happy
memories of their sojourn on the
farin.
Those receiving euchre prizes
'were high lady , Jean Walker; low
lady, Mrs. Gershom Johnston; ,
high man, Bill Smyth; low man,
Richard Moore. Lunch was serv-
ed by the sponsors.
The amount collected for the
Cancer Society by Whitechurch
vicinity was $217.50.' We ex-
tend thanks to all who assisted in
the canvass as we 'had around $50'
more contributions than in 1973.
We were pleased to hear that
Peter de Boer was home for the
week end from London.

on Sunday evening with devotions
by Rev. Beukerna: Mrs. Amsing
and her daughter Coby provided*,
special musical numbers for the
service, singing solos and duets.
Mary Broadfoot and Frank For-
rest assisted Norman, Speir and
Jerry Collins with the old tyme •
music on Monday with mouth
organ solos .by Mrs. Mary Taylor.
Two new residents were welcomed
to the Home during the afternoons
activities,' Miss Tena McNaugh-
ton and Frank McGregor.
Seven table's of euchre and
three of crokindle were played at
Wednesday's games. Volunteers
from the .OPti Mrs. Club of
Vanastra helped with the program.
The residents enjoyed an hour
of organ melodies on ThUrsday
afternoon with Ed Stiles.at the
organ and vocal solos by Mrs.
Rogers. '
Miss Campbell of Goderich
arranged a program of slides and
music for "Family Night". The
.pictures and commentary 'by Miss
Campbell were very kntei\esting
and had been taken while on tour
of Australia , New Zealand and
the Islands. Miss Elizabeth
Saamin piayed several favourite
piano selections during the pro-
gram. Mrs. Adelaide Revell ex-
pressed the appreciation of the
residents.

George Grigg returned from° St .
Pauls on Sunday they visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Black of Clin-

1974 'graduating class at Knox
college w'as held at' Whitby Pres-
byterian Church on Wednesday
evening conducted by East Toronto
Presbytery. 'Eleven of the class
were licerthed , the other five will
be licensed in cheir home Presby-
teries. After this service Rev.
Ron Arther'and Mrs. Archer
entertained the class at the home
of his parents.
The Alumni of Knox. College
honored the graduating class on
Tuesday at noon to a‘banquet at
Knox College Dining Hall.
Rev. Lloyd Murdock was up
