South Kinloss Mrs,. Ted Collyer was hostess to the South Kinloss Women's Miss- ionary Society on Wednesday, May 1. There were 18 members present. The President Mrs. Bruce Harnilton opened the meeting with a poem, "Mother's Love" follow- ed by the singing of the hynin "Sweet is the solemn voice that calls". Members were reminded of the W. M.S. Presbyterial to be held in Ripley May 13th, 2 and 7 p.in, Mrs. Ira Dickie a,nd Mrs. Douglas Graham to be delegates. The supply money of 2.00 per mem- ber is to be paid to Mrs. Allan MacIntyre. 'The roll call was answered with a verse containing the word Mother,. • The Bible Study and meditation was given by Mrs. ,Donald C. Mac. Intyre, reading Colossians '2: 4-2.a"-, with a question and answer period. The hymn "Simply Trusting Every Day" was sung. Mrs. Ira Dickie gave a review from The Glad. Tidings of 1973 reading a poem "Mother". Mrs. Eyan Keith read an editorial "Singing Watera". Mrs. Alvin Schmidt, Mrs. Lloyd MacDotigall and Mrs._ Harold LANGSIDE Peter de Boer was home for the week end from St. 'Joseph's Hos- pital, London. Austin took part in the Prayer Circle. Mrs. Phillip' Steer read a poem of her own composing entitl- ed "Mother" The offering was received with Mrs. Leopard Mac- hines giving the offertciry prayer. This was followed by a Quizz by Mrs. Ira Dickie, Mothers of the Bible. Mrs. Harry Lavis gave courtesy remarks. . The closing hymn "All the way. my Saviour leads me" was sung and the meeting closed with pray- er by Mis. •Lorne Sparks. A social half hour followed. Rev . The May meeting of Christ Church Anglican Church Women, Port Albert, was held at the'church on May 1st with 10 members attend- ing. The first hour was spent cleaning the"church, and.at 3 p.m, the meeting opened with the Hymn "Come let us sing of a wonderful love" followed by the Member's Prayer and the Lord's Prayer repeat. ed in unison. Scripture was read by Mrs. Edith Hoy. Minutes and corres- 2ondence were read, which in- :luded two invitations, one from Dungannon U.C. W. for May 21st at 8.30 p.m. and the other from Goderich A .C. VMS Presents Pin And Certificates The May meeting of the Luck , now Presbyterian Women'S Mission- ary Society was held on Wednes- day, May 1st in the Presbyterian Church, with 17 members present: Mrs. James Little presided and opened the meeting with 'a verse on,Spring followed by hymn 140 • "For the beauty of the earth". The Bible Study was taken `by Mrs. Morgan Henderson on "Gates of Wonder". Mrs. William Porteous led in prayer. . Mrs. Glenn Noble reported on' the. Synodical meeting held in Chesley. Mrs. John Adams re- ceived the offering and Miss Nellie Malcolm gave the offer- ing prayer. Mrs. Noble played a piano, solo which was enjoyed• by all. • The scripture verses-from Acts were read in unison. The Mission study on "A Wave of Witnesses" took the form of a panel - consisting of Mrs. Noble Johnston, Mrs. Wm. Porteous, Mis. Maud Sherwood, Mrs. Glenn Noble, Mrs. Robert Reid, Mrs. Wm. Stanley, Mrs. Earl MacDon- ald and Mrs. George Kennedy', stressing that we.must aim to wit- ness in today's world through word and deed.
