nard Ackert spoke on the Home
improvement plan for the Plough-
ing Match to' be held in Bruce in
1976.
Mrs. Raynard Ackert will be
the hostess for an evening meeting
on June 6th.
This Will be a pot luck supper

School Increases
For All Huron
Municipalities
The levies for the elementary
and, secondary panels to be, paid to
the Huron County Board of Educa-
tion, for 1974 by the 26 municipali•
ties in Huron County have been
released. It shows an increase. for
all municipalities. c,
The budget of $13,185,831,
passed at a special meeting indic-
ated an increase of 9.24 per cent
over last year and will mean an
overall increase of 2.2 mills in
the tax rate for Huron„ratepayers.
Municipal taxes will raise
$p ;091,559 while prOvincial gov•-
ernment grants will total
$9,426,000 and tuition fees and
school rentals will raise $612,784.
The tax levies to be raised from
each. municipality with the 1973
figureS in brackets are: •

nounced the Lucknow Band Conc-
ert. A Mother's Day verse was the
roll•call,
Mrs. P. A. Murray was in charge
of the program. The topic on

Glen Haldenby when she spoke on
"Cheese" , the different varieties
and their uses. Readings were
given by Mrs. Glen Haldenby and
Mrs. Frank Maulden and a contest
by Mrs. Howard Harris. Mrs. P..
A. Murray gave the motto' on
"Itappiness". Mrs. William Mac-
Pherson won the prize for the best
limerick on nutrition. This will
be read at the district meeting.
Mrs. Murray thanked the hostess
and all who took-part. in the pro-
gram. 0 Canada was sung fol7
lowed by Grace. A delicious
'lunch• was served by the hostess
-and a social time was enjoyed.
