Point Clark Man
Killed In
Motor Accident
Gregor Peebles, 33 , of Point
Clark died in a motor accident.
last last Week end. He was a native
of Scotland and had been living
at Point Clark quite recently.
Mr. Peebles, who was alone in
his car was thrown from the .be-
hicle as it travelled south on Lake-
shore Road, five miles south of
Kincardine.
An employee of Ontario Hydro
at Douglas Point, Mr; Peebles
was pronounced dead at the scene.
He is survived by his wife and,
two ,sons. Gregor, a grade 2 stud-
ent at Ripley-Huron Central
School and Mike , a level 1 student
at Ripley District School.

Although, the contest has only
been in existence for four years
in Canada a similar contest has
been run for the last 27 years in
the U.S. In 1972 F. E. Madill

Canadian competition.

Named To Head
Business Group
Jim Sutherland and Ken Taylor,
Lucknow businessmen, were nam-
ed co-chairmen of the Lucknow
Business Association at a meeting
on Wednesday of -last .week.

Dr. D. J. Hodgins has opened
a veterinary practice at Holyrood.
Donald Hodgins is a native of Kin-
lough and a son. of Mr. and Mrs.
John E, Hodgins of that commun-
ity.
He is a graduate 'of Lucknow and
Wingharn Secondary Schools and
the Ontario Veterinary College in
1973. He has been associated with
the practice of Dr. George Wathke
of Pat Elgin.
Mrs. Hodgins is the former Pat.
Cronin of Mildmay and' they have
a family of two, David 3 and Jan7
ine 6 months. 'They are residing"
on the Lorne Eadie 'farm west of

dine General Hospital on Wednes-
day , May 1st , in his 73rd year..
The funeral service was held
at MacKenzie Memorial Chapel,
Lucknow on Saturday, May 4th.
,Interment was in Greenhill
Cemetery.

Fatality And
Serious Injury In'
Weekend Accident
Joseph Young , 34, Scarborough ,
was killed and seven persons were
injured in a two-car crash Sun-
day morning on the 2nd concession
Bruce Township, near Kincardine.
In critical condition in Univer-
sity Hospital, London, is James
Lizniore, 17, R. R. 4, Kincardine.
He has a punctured lung and frac-
tured ribs and pelvis. He is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lizmore
of Bervie.
In satisfactory condition in Kin.-
cardine and District Hospital are
