Team, after winning, the
opening game in the W.O.A.A.
Grand Championship Series
against Harriston, lost-the' next -
three straight games in the series
and the championship.
On Wednesday in Harriston, the
score was $-7 for Harriston in.
overtime.
Back in Lticknow on Friday, the•
Sepoys also ended•up one goal
down in a 6-5 score in favour, of
Harriston.
The deciding game was in
Harriston on' Saturday night and
Harriston were victorious by a
score of 5-4. .
Lucknow Sepoys were W.O.A.A
Intermediate Minor C Champs and
Harriston were B ChOlps. •
Lucknow had a successful year
defeating Beaver Valley. and At-
wood for the minor C Champion-
ship, going on to eliminate Stone
School, D Champs „for the right "
to advance to the Grand Champ-
ionship.
In the four games for the Grand
Championship, Lucknow scored
23 goals compared to 21 for Harri-
ston , but Harliston were the win-
ners in' the last three games, by.
one goal each game.
John Emberlin, Ross Forster
and Graham Hamilton received
injuries in the last two games
played. Team members and fans
are hoping these injuries do not
prove too serious.
In the last 3 games, the goals
and assists were .divided pretty .
well amongst the players with
everybody giving their best,
It is always a preasure when the
referees come into the ,- —
dressing room after; the games and
congratulate the players' on. their
fine sportsmanship and clean play-
ing. This, was the ease in this
Series.
The:Intermediates played about
50 games froin the last of Novem-
ber to the last of April. They
smashed their way through $1015
worth of hockey sticks, plus $93
for tape, advertising ; etc,
Donald McKenzie, on behalf
of all team members, would like
to thank all the fans who support-
ed the team so loyally throughithe
season, the recreation board who
saw fit to leave the ice in for the '
series, and for the co-operation
in making the ice available at
different times, with always a
,fine sheet of ice to play on.

trophies for the Radishes were pres•

Johnstone ror tier 302. Anna John-
stone presented trophies tot high
average to Kay CrawfOrd 191 and
for the season high triple to Merle
Rhody for her'118.

tain and members of the Radishes
for the playoff championship by .
Marie Hoffman. Marie then
presented Barb Whitby with
trophy for 'most improved bowler-.
Anna Johnstone presented
trophies to Merle Rhody for play-
off high triple 665 and high single
with 280. A new trophy was
added this year, to encourage the
new bowlers, low average went
to Gertrude Leddy.
The Corn has been trying
year to no avail and for their
gallant effort each member was
presented with an apron imprint-
ed with "To Hell with housework,
Let's go bowling".

Hold Annual Dinner
The Ladies 6.30 Bowling .League
held their annual banquet, and soc —
ial evening at the Anglican Parish
Hall, 7 p:rrf. Wednesday, April
24.
A delicious beef dinner was en-
joyed by all' the ladies present.
The tables were decorated 'with
vases of artificial spring flowers
and novelty place cards made by
each captain or a member of her .
team. A single deck of cards,
as indiVidual gifts to each lady
was placed. at each setting.
,Catherine Andrew Welcomed the
ladies and thanked the officers,
Captains and Past President
Grace Ellis' ct and all who helped
with assistance. throughout the
year.
`A thank you note was received-
from Annie Gaunt who was unable
to he present because of illness.
A short business meeting was
held following the ,diriner with
Norma McDonagh giying the treas-
