the sixth concession' east in Huron
Township had an Easter family get-
together at their • home when their
three sons Glen, •Dale and Dennis
and daughter Linda were all here
on Sunday.. Dennis, who had a
week'vEaster vacation, has return-
ed to Cornell University in Ithaca ,
'New York State. Dale Martin was
home from London. Mr; and Mrs .:
Glen Martin, daughters Michelle ,
Diane and Liza were up from Bur-
lington and also here were Mr.
and Mrs. Greg Hughes and son Jeff-
rey of Harriston. Mrs. Hughes is
the former Linda Martin - Gordon
and Ora's daughter.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Wyld of
Newmarket and Mr. Warren Hardy
of Mississanga visited with relativ-
es in Ripley and Huron for Easter.

of Ripley spent Easter Sunday in
Kincardine with their daughter

•At a recent meeting in Walker-
ton, Dennis Bridge, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Eugene Bridge of the
South Line in Kincardine Town-
ship, was elected Vice piesident
of the executive of the Bruce
County 4-H Club Leaders associa-
tion.

Two more bOys, griduates of
the Ripley Xoistrict High School,
have received notice of promo-
tional moves in their work. Doug
Tout , son of Clerk and Mrs. Earl
Tout of Pine River is being sent
by his company to Israel to do
specialized• work. John Moore,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Reg Moore,
who was employed at Douglas
Point , recently completed a fur-
ther course at Chalk River and is
now employed at the Pickering
Nuclear Plant and is residing in
Toronto.
During the past week three 'from
Ripley were admitted to Kincar-
dine and District Hospital for tests
and treatment and, are patients
there. They, are Mrs. Ernie Pol-
lock, Miss Pat Fludder and Mrs.
ley of Orangeville recently visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Tout in
Ripley.

Jerry .Huber of Waterlooliad the
basement excavated for his new
home south of the. old Ripley Pub-
lic School - now the Jim Lo:wry, • apartments. Also a week ago the
same excavation was done east of
Mr., and. Mrs. Lloyd Irwin's home
for the second van Kooten house.
Weather wise the past week
brought a few April showers.
However •those predicted for Satur-
day did not come, instead it was
a beautiful day. • With April the
robins, are back •after a good-wint-
er in the sunny south.
'Don •and June.Dietrich, son
Chuck and daughter Jodi of Ripley
were away for the Easter week
end.

Last Saturday Mrs. Marion Em-
erson of Purple Grove motored to
Wiartbn to visit with her mother
Mrs. Sadie •(Jack) Bell at Gateway
Haven.. Marion was accompanied
by Mrs. Don McCosh of Ripley.
They also visited with Watt Need-
ham and other residents from this
area.
