'Mr. and Mrs. Malvin Smith of
Toronto enjoyed the holiday week
end at their home here and had
guests.
HOLIDAY .IN BAHAMAS
Mr.' and Mrs. 'George Gibson
and, children left on Monday morn-
ing for •a ten-day holiday in the
Bahamas': George has just com-
pleted a course at 'Guelph Univer-
sity.
We hope all had an Easter full
of true happiness.
SUNDAY GATHERING
Mrs. Mary Cousins and George
Miller from Detroit spent the
week end with the former's aunt,
Mrs. Lorne Ivers, and Mr. 'vers.
On Sunday many relatives gather-
ed at the Ivers' home and at two
o'clock 23 were together for a
family dinner at the Candlelight
ding.
Mrs. Margaret Ball from Barrie „
and her daughter Mrs.. Carl Bailey
and two children from Mildmay,
visited on Thursday with Mr. and
Mrs. Chas., Fowler. On Wednes-
day Torn Fowler from Parkhill
visited his parents also.
Mrs. J. M. Reed and Girvin
were guests on Easter Sunday'
of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Eadie and
family at Holyrood.

The last card party of the sea-
son Was held on 'Thursday night
with ten-tables playing'. High
prizes went to Mrs. Ellwood Elliott
and Jim• Errington with
second high, going to Mrs. Cliff"
Murray and Allan Miller. The
lucky draws went to Mrs. Wm.
Purdon, Mrs. Jim Curran and
Frank Mewhinney. Mrs. Ernest
Snowden had the most shoots.
Those hospitalized from our
community are Gordon MacPher-
son in University Hospital, Lond-
on and Norman Foran and. Mrs.
Joni Shetler in Wingham and Dist-
rict Hospital.
Word was received on Saturday
of the death 'of John Sparkes of ,
London. Mrs. Sparkes is the form-
er Muriel Miller of this coati;
ity. Mr. Sparkes has been ser-
iously ill the past three months,
