WHITECHURCH NEWS
Whitechurch Water System
held their spring meeting on Thurs-
day evening', April 11 at 8.15 in
the Community Memorial Hall
with an attendance of'17.
•
The president. Wm. Evans pres-
ided and welcomed all attenders.
The minutes were read by the see -
retary Mrs. Victor Emerson. Vic-
tor Emerson was appointed to look
after the purchase of a plahk to be
laid beside another to protect
fire hose when it has to be laid
Mr. and Mrs. Don Thompson,
Susan, Nancy and Donalda of
Lucknow visited over the 'week
end with Mr. and Mrs. Fraser
Ashton, Antoine and Stefanie at
Luc-erne, Quebec. Enroute the
Thompsons visited with Mr. and
Mrs.. Ron Rothwell at Norwood.
Easter guests with Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Moffat were their daughter
and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs.
Wayne Woods and Shelley of Pem-
broke. They also visited relatives
at the home of his mother, Mrs.
Walter Woods of Wingharn.

The three applications for wat-•
er were discussed, that of Tom
Davidson, Gerald Smith and Alan
Falconer. In the discussion which-
followed it was decided that the
system pay for the installation of .a
2 inch pipe to cross the road, to
Davidson and Smith. When this
work is being done and the water
shut off a T will be installed in
front of the lot 'west of Alan Fal-
coner's house, where Alan intends
building .a new house.. When the
line is open to go to .Davidson's,
Albert Coultes is also having a T
put in for his north lot.
A discussion on whetherthe
rent for trailer homes and duplex
homes be $10 or $25 per year was
decided by a ballot vote in favor
of .$10 per year.. Also a ballot
vote s on whether barn extensions
all pay' $10 or not, was decided
that all, pay.
