music, education, gardening hints,
solving problems,. movies, news,
sports, church services, special
features as opening of parliament
and royal weddings. Disadvantag-
es were too much commercial,
pupils watch Tv and don'ts do
their homework, TV spoils Christ-
mas right from toddler age with
their advertising of playthings.

Current events were given by
Mrs. Frank Ross speaking of the
energysrisis, hydro lines going
through good farm land , teacher
strike and the kidnapping of Miss
Patricia Hearst. The April
meeting will be-held in White-
church Community Memorial
Hail at .12 O'clock. All. are to
bring food for a pot luck dinner.
Miss Wilson conveyed courtesy
remarks to Mrs. Gaunt for her
home and to those taking part in
the meeting. 'The Grace and
Queen were sung. Lunch was serv-
ed by Mrs. Fred Tiffin, Mrs. Garn,
et Farrier; Mrs., Russel Gaunt.

On Friday Mr. and Mrs. Wal-
lace Milligan, Mary, Lou and
Clara went to Streetsville, where
they visited 'with Mr.• and Mrs. Pa
Donnelly and family and other
friends, returning home on Satur-
day.
Kevin Falconer of Strathroy
spent the holiday week with Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Mowbray and Mi.
and Mrs. Alan Falconer and fam-
ily. His mother, Mrs. Angus Fal-
coner spent the week end here
with Mr. and Mrs. Alan Falconer
and Kev in returned home with
her.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Parker of
4th concession Kinloss were Sun-
day visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Carman Whytock.and Jack.
Mrs. Lorne Durriin spent the
week end in Goderich at the home
of Mr.. and Mrs. Clayton Scholtz
and family.
Mr. Lloyd Murdock visited ,
Saturday afternoon at the home
of Mr, and Mrs. Bill Versteeg and

dy and Timmy of Don Mills,
were holiday visitors last week
with Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher.
Mr. and Mrs.' Gordon Fisher, Lee
and Lori of Guelph visited this '
week end and•Lonnie Fisher, who
had visited his grandparents Mr.
and Mrs. George Marshall of Cul-
ross last week, returned home
with them; Mr: and Mrs. Carman
Machan of Waterloo also spent the
week end with Mr. and Mrs, Fish=
A shoot party is being planned
for Friday night in Whitechurch
Community Memorial Hall. •
Home for the week end with
their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Smyth and to take in the sale' on
Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Ger-
hard Bauer and friends of Toronto,
Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Russel and
family of Mississauga, Mr., and
Mrs. Albert Smyth, Andrea and
Pamela of Waterloo.
On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Carl
McClenaghin visited with Mr.
and Mrs. Irwin McClenaghan of
St., Thomas to celebrate Nancy
M'eClenaghan's birthday. On the
trip home they encountered heavy
snow squalls, making travelling
hazardous.
Sunday visitors with Mis. Ger-
shorn Johnston of Wingham were
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnston and
Donna of St. Pauls and Mrs. Peter
Arkell and John of Kitchener.
There was no church at the
United Church due to the illness
of Larry King, student preacher.'

Johnny and Bobby of Wingham,
visited Monday with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Dawson Craig.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott
Paul, David, Barry and Karen,
visited on Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Norman Stewart and family
of Lambeth. On the return trip
home they were accompanied
by Miss Ruth Elliott, who had
'completed her training at the
hospital.
On March 49 at 2 p.m. a crowd
of 76 folks gathered for 19 tables
of progressive euchre, put on
by Whitechurch Women's Institute.
Everyone had a very happy time,.
Those receiving prizes were for
the inarked tally card , Mrs. maty
Burchill of Wingham; lucky draw,
Mrs. Jim Currie of 'Wingham;
-Mrs,. Les Purvis of Lucknow and
Mrs. Wesley Tiffin also were
among the wirmets.
