ian Church at eight o'clock for
the Sunday' School teachers -to plan
for the coming .year.
Rev. Weir of Kincardine. held
communion in Ashfield Presbyter-
ian Church on Sunday. Mr. Rich-
ard Sands will.be back on March ,
31st from Knox College, Toronto.
A-congregational meeting was
held to make plans for Mr. Sands
living at' the Ripley Manse during
his ministry for the summer
months.

Guelph spent their school holiday
with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Joe
MacIntyre.

of Toronto spent some time with
her parents Mr. and Mrs. Stuart

them they had arrived safely.

Barbara, Janet , Flora Simpson
and -Mrs. Farrish's nieces the Stoat

London on Saturday.
Raymond Dalton arrived home
from an extensive trip to Western
Canada United• States and Mex-
ico. He visited his sister Antoin-
ette in Detroit, from where he
was brought back to Canada by Al
•O'Loughlin 'of Detroit. Mr.
O'Loughlin visited here with his

Community. Development Croup
in the Anglican Church on March
19th. , • •
C-layton Nicholson reporied'that
he,understood plans for the Senior
Citizens Housing Units were com-
ing along well.,
Reg Moore arid John Gamble
gave latest reports for the Medic-
al Centre. It was hoped local
builders could be found and con-
struction start before long.
Cameron had divided future
priorities into 3 sroups and mem 7
bers chose the one of most inter-
est and discussed the questions
Which dealt with local services,
municipal services and future con-
cerns of the group.
The Senior Citizens will con-
sider some plans for transporta-
tion to bias servi e , lOcal Home
Care and Comm nity services will
be researched by Mrs. Locke and
Clayton Nicholson.
On the Municipal level, local
town-planning by-laWs will be
enforced soon. If we wart to pre,-
serve our wildlife we must post
signs on our property and ask for
more game Warden supervision.
The members felt much had' been
accomplished by these Group
meetings and that there was a
need for them to
continue.
Cameron McAuley has done, a
good job as Cokbrdinator and
members were pleased to have
hi,rn continue in this office. There
is a great need for a goods restaur-
ant in the village and Coffee,
House for young people. Would-
n't you like to open one? Mem-
bers felt they would like to sup=
port it.

There were fifteen tables 'at
the card party in St. Augustine
last week. The high ladies prize
-went to Mrs. Edward Robinson,
second 'high was tied betWeen Mrs.
Jim Leddy and Mary Anne Boyle;
mens' high to:Jim Foran, second
high to Fr. Ed Dentinger and door
prize went to Patrick Boyle.
' The regular meeting of the Rid-,
ers Roost Saddle Club was held on
March 19 with an attendance of
25. The meeting was opened 'by
President Nina Silverstone. This
meeting had been postponed from
the week before. Nina called for
the 'good news of club members.

was in the top 22 in Western 'pleas-
ure in a class of 105 at the Quart-

Shawn Coning has a little filly
colt.
Hugh Sinnamon showed a film
called a' Thirty. Mile Endurance
Trail Ride which was much enjoy-
ed and was won by' a Grandmoth-
er and her Granddaughter, so.

for us.
Nina Silverstone conducted a
quiz on Visual Defects of the
horse'and Lise Gunby and Brenda
Taylor had a question and answer
period pertaining to management
and handling -,)f the horse.
