Huronview Receive
A New Bus
On Monday, Match 25th, a bus
was presented to Huronview by
the Huronview Auxiliary, the
presentation being made by Mrs.
Wilfrid Colclough, President of
the Auxiliaryi, to Anson McKin-
ley , Chairman of the Huronview
Committee of Management:
Mrs.. Coklough spear-headed
a very successful campaign by the
Auxiliary to raise the funds for
the purchase of the vehicle.
The bus is 'a Dodge rnaxivan,
purchased from. J & T Murphy
Ltd. Clinton. The van has
afternoon, before a large home-
town crowd of 351; Lucknow was
victorious 10-6.
Ian Montgomery, despite being
tagged and checked continually,
ledg the scoring with three goals,
Murray Thompson and Stewart
Mann scored 2 with singles going
to Cliff Mann, Greg Hamilton
and Mark Chisholm.
Assists went to Bob Moffat 3;
Ian Montgomery , Kevin Murray
and Mark Chisholm, 2 each; Bob
MacGillivray, Cliff Mann, Murray
Thoinpson and John Hamilton, 1
each.
Lucknow was back in Watford
last night (Tuesday) and if a fourth
game is necessary it will be in
Lucknow Friday.
Lucknow Juveniles will start
playoffs for W.O.A.A. Grand
Championship Wednesday, March
27 against Mount Forest. Best 2
out of 3 series with second game
slated for Lucknow Sunday after-
noon March 31st.

Friday, at 4.30, will see the
beginning of the final bonspiel of
the season for the Clark Ferguson
Trophy. A total 0/eighteen mix-
ed rinks will play one game each
on Friday, and finish with two
gimes on Saturday. This is,one
of the most popular events of the
year, with the entry list having
been filled for some time. ,
Playoffs are now the order of
the day to decide the grand
champions for the ladies, gents
and mixed draws. Preliminary
rounds have now been completed
with finals, in all events, to be
completed during the coming
week.

Wind-up - 1974 is now written
into the record books, with Pres-
ident Sandy MacCharles rink win-
ning the top spot for the day with
two wins and plus 'of eleven. Cur-
ling 'with Sandy were Barbara Lid-
dle , Doug Dahmer and Dianne
Farrell, Ron Farrell, skipping for
Charles Liddle, with Dianne
Brooks, Ernes , Coiling and Ursula
Burnett, wa the winner of the
early draw with two wins and a
plus of ten'. An unusual feature of
the day was that there was no
three gaine winner. ,,,,
Lucknow Bantam hockey team
advance to the W.O.A.A. finals •
by defeating Milverton, 2 games
to 1 in their best of three series.
Lucknow won the first game 3-1
in Lucknow.
The second game of the series,
played in Milverton on Saturday
afternoon saw Lucknow open the
scoring with 2 goals. Milverton
came back to take the lead after'
some strange calls by the officials
had the Lucknow team, dishearten-
ed. m•
The boys really worked hard in
the third period and lied the, score
5-5 with only seconds left in regu-
lation time,„ . .
Milverton took 'a two goal lead,
in overtime with Lucknow coming
back with one. Lubknow fought
hard with numerous close calls
late in overtime but could not get
the equalizer. Final Score was
Milverton 7, Lucknow .6.
Lucknow returned to Milverton
been fitted with an extended roof
and a wheel-chair lift which is,
electrically operated. It will
carry nine persons, four of whom
can remain right in their wheel-
chairs.
Among the Many county clubs
and organization from this 'area
who assisted in this project was
the Catholic Women'S League of
Lucknow, the Auburn Women's
Institute and North Htiron Orange
Lodge.
