The regular intramural hockey
schedule ended with'the Bears on,

The playoffs now start with the
winner getting the new trophy that
has been donated by Mr.
Finlayson.

in the hall. High prizes went to
Mrs. Ted Robinson and Alex •

Mrs. Stuart Cilamney and Fred
Phillips., Donald Murray .had the
most shoots and the nearest' birth-
day was Oscar Hodgins. The next
party is on February 28. •

him from returning to work for
two weeks or so.'

Valentine party following their
regular 'meeting on Diesday even-
ing . C. G. I. T. held their
meeting 'on Thursday evening.
The S.S. teachers and -executive
met on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m: to
discuss supplies required , to make
plans for summer activities , and
to receive suggestions for a

MacDonald of Mississauga , Elmer
COurtney. and Hairy Scott won the
annual Ripley-Huron Legion
reunion bonspiel on Saturday .
This annual event is always held'
on the third Saturday in February.
Bill Danforth's rink took second
place , with Russell Stanley and
Orah Crawford in third and fourth
spots , respectively. Consolation
entries were skipped by Ray Coll-
inls and Bill Tranter. Lloyd Wylds
'Sports. Officer for Branch 440, was
in charge and assisted by Sandy',
MacCharles and Don McLay. The
curling ladies and the Auxiliary
supplied a bounteous repast for
lunch at the rink and dinner at
the Legion Hall:

-A most, successful Jitney was
held at the Club on Sunday even-
ing , arranged by club presidents
Sandy MacCharles and Joyce
Courtney. Forty-eight curlers
took part with the double rink of
Wray Osborne and 'Harry Scott
taking the-top prize. Second• went
to the Midge Funston-Carrick

skip combinations in order of
their finish, were: Bonnie Nichol-

Gordon Roulston. Each rink play-
ed seven ends, in two stages , and
each end included some prearran-
ged novelty feature. All commi-
ttees are to be commended for
this most enjoyable evening!
