from this school in 'the various

A busload of 37 pupils and their
teachers from the three schools in
special educatipn in Huron County'
attended. The events included •
skating , individual and team
tobogganing! broomball, snow-
shoeing , cress conntry skiing and
funevents which included snow-
mobile,rides. In the cornpetitive
events Huron County participants
brought home 16 medals:
The Special Winter Olympics is
sponsored by the Faculty of Physi-
cal Education and a great deal of
credit is due the Faculty and the
University students for having this
enjoyable event. The University
students act as chaperones to the
participants and their enthusiasm
matched that of the participants,
making this event a very memor-
able occasion and a day to long
be remembered

ing Of John •Nicolson Nicolson. of
Kinleiss Township on Saturday ,
February pth,. at the age of 41.
Iulr . • Nicolson suffered, a' coronary
and' his death occurred at
Wingharn and DiStrict Hospital a
short' time after stiffering the.

He was born in. Glasgow , Scot- •
land on December'30•, 193.2; a son
of Alexander MacGregor Nicolson
and, his, wife , the former Margaret
Angus. .
On September 1st , 1961,. he •
Married Annetta Chassels Hughes
of Paisley', .Sebtland. 'They were
Married. at Bridgerid. Glamorgan.,.
Wales. •
In '1966' he brouht.his family out
to Canada and they resided' at
Toronto and Oshawa where John,
an electrician by trade, was'
employed at. Pickering In 1971. he
came to Douglas Point , and taken
with Bruce County , moved his,
family here 'in January 1972 They
bought the former Glen Hodgins
place on C.onc'etsion Kinloss
Township,
Mr. Nicolson had served in the
Royal Air'Force until 1962
He is survived bthis wife and •
three daughters , Lynne age
11, Caryn a and Dawn 6;, one
brother Alexander and one sister
Margaret , both in Scotland
Fie was predeceased h\: his par- •
erns.
The funeral service was held at,
