The performance of many of the
Mildmay, team members but not
all of them, was a' sad, reflection
On the integrity Of the players
and some of the spectators who
accompanied them and interfered
in the game. The dispute
apparently concerned officiating,
but with a team behind 8 - 0, it
is quite• apparent that frustratiOn
and poor sportsmanship was the
key issue in .the matter,

three nights,
In Blyth on Friday night they

Belmore, Lucknow' Girls Hockey
team lost 3 - 1. Mary Bradley
scored Lucknow's only goal.
On Tuesday, February 5 , against
Gorrie , lucknow won 2'- 1 with
,Nancy Chisholm and Mary Bradley
scoring the goals.

In a regular seheduled game on
Friday , February 8th , the Lucknow
Pee Wee hockey team romped
over Ripley by a score of 9 to 3.
The scoring for Lucknow was well
divided amongst the team with
Paul Hamilton scoring '2 goals,
Donald Elliott, David Errington',
Brad Humphrey. , Stephen MacPhe7
rson and Doug Dorscht , 1 goal and
1 assist each. Danny Londry and
Kenny Ritchie 1 goal each and
Stephen Simpson 1 assist.
The boys next home game will
be' an exhibition contest with Kin-
cardine this coming' Friday night
at 7:00 p . m .

The Teeswater'Broomball League
regular season came to an exciting
climax on Sunday evening. Salem
proved to be too much for the
Bervie Raiders beating them 2 - 0;
thus giving them first place and
the league 'trophy.

on to 6th spot tieing their persuing
team Chepstow Axemen 0 - O.

Glammis Flyers climbed into
.2nd place and eliminated Linda's
Hairstyling attempts to stay in the
top four as well as add 2 goals to.

The St. Mary's Cold Storage
team, proved they had someone '
just as good as the best when their
regular goalie, who Was leading in
goals against, quit with 3 games
left in the regular season.
Larry Yensen, a forward , wins
the goal tending trophy as the St.
Mary's team beat Formosa
Diamonds'12 - 0. At this time, it
is not known who won the scoring
trophy.

News
The valentine motif was much
in evidence for the annual "Sweet•
heart", bonspiel at the local club
on Saturday,.organized by the
ladies section.
The' winning rink was that of
Anna MacTavish and Gladys Nich-
olson, Curling with Donald Mac-
Tavish and Bob Lyons who came
through with 3 wins and, a plus of
24, Second place in the early
draw, and the day, was taken by
Vicki and Ron Funston, with'Jean
and John Coiling, with 2 wins and
a plus of 15,.
First place on the 11-o'clock
draw went to Marjorie MacTavish
and Marion. Gamble , curling with
Jim MacTavish and Doug. Mac-
Donald. Second place was taken
by Ruthe Patterson, ,With husband
Gordon, and Ursula Burnett, curl-
ing with Harry. Scott. The Mac-
Tavish rink had 2 wins and a plus
