mitted to hospital. Their condi-
tion was satisfactory the early part
of the week. ,

fell and struck the patient who

There passed away at St. `Jos -
eph's Hospital, London; on Sun-,
day, January 20, 1974, Ida E.
(Sherwood) Barbour in her ,SOth
year. She was a daughter of the
late Samuel and Emma (Twamley)
Sherwood anci was born in ASh-
field Townshi n March 4,1894.
On June 3 1 14 she married
James Barbour of West Wawanosh,
who predeceased her in 1967. She
was also.predeceased by a daugh-
ter Mrs. Albert (Verna) Rundle in
1960., an only grandson Jamie
GOntier in 1971 and four brothers
Wesley , Ernest , James, Charles
and two sisters Mrs .. Elliott (Lay -
Ma) Miller and Mrs. Leslie (Den-
eda) -Ritchie. •
SurviVing are one daughter Mrs.
Gordon (Frieda) Gontier of London;
three granddaughters, one sister
'Mrs, Andrew (Matilda) Gaunt of
Lucknow and "one brother Earl of .
Carlow.
The funeral service ,was held
at the A. Millard George Funeral
Home, 60 Rideau Street., London
on Wednesday, Jamiary 23. Rev.
Clifford G. Park-of Wesley-Knox
United Church officiating.
Pallbearers were Albert Rundle ,
Eugene Supryka , Robert Baker ,
Dennis O'boud, Alvin Ritchie
Murray Gaunt. Interment was .
in Forest Lawn MemOrial Gardens
London.

At Ripley .HOme
On January 14th the Women's
Institute, DiStrict officers of Bruce
East , Grey South and Bruce South
met at the 'home of Mrs.. Francis
Gemmell, Ripley, the Provincial
board member.
Mrs.*Gemmellsave.a good re-
port of the board meeting held in
Toronto and discussed a number
of articles from this meeting.
The dates of the District
annuals are Grey South, May,28th
at Holstein: Bruce East, Mav 30tb
at Walkerton; Bruce South, May
21st in Ripley.

though each year the Ripley-Huron
Fall Fair has advertised the last
Saturday in September as a "home
coming reunion event", this will
be the first big. reunion since hold-
ing the Ripley-Huron Lewis. Cen-
tennial Reunion in August 1952.
That event was quite successful
in most ways.
