For Reunion In 1915

The. first meeting Of the execu-
tive and committee chairmen for
the Ripley-Huron Reunion
'75 was held last Slifiday evening
in the Ripley Curling Arena.
Chairman Donald MacTavish pre-
sided over the meeting which had
one hun,dred per cent attendance.
The Reunion date was set for,.
Civic Holiday week end , August
1975, to run from Friday evening
,.to_the Wee_small hoiirs of 'tues--
day morning.
The executive is as follows:

day afternoon, the Ripley fire
siren sounded at the Huron Towiv=
ship Municipal Building at' the
'east end of Malcolm Street, The
fire was at the farm located on
lot 10, concession one , a block
east of Olivet, on the^second con:-
cesSion road in Huron Township.
The property is owned by J. S.
Robb.
The vacant frame house
Was destroyed yid the blaze. 'It is
thought to have been empty since
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Finlaysori
purchased- and moved to the farm
of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Breckenridge

North. Ashfield. Public School
will remain open until June 1975.
The enrolment at Brookside this
year (1973-74) is'406 and at North
Ashfield it is 57, making a' com-
bination at both schools of 463:
students. The projected enrol-
ment for 1974-75 is again 406-
at Brookside and 39 at North Ash-
field; total 445. In June 1975 ,
seventy students will be leaving
Grade 8 for' High School from

the Lucknow Agricultural Society
held its annual meeting, in the
Town Hall with President Omar
Brooks in charge.
