Mrs, Myrtle Helm, Lucluiow,
fell on ice and fractured her left
hip, December 25; She was treat-
ed and transferred , via ambulance
to University Hospital, London. ,
William. Robinson, Winghain,
was struck by a hockey puck at
Belgrave arena on December 25 .'
and received •a laceration over his
left eye .
On DecemIDer 25 Thomas Gra-
ham, age 14, Gorrie , received
facial, injuries when stinck by a,
hockey stick at Gorrie. He was
admitted to hospital.
..ROss Brighton, age 52-, Brussels,
was driving his snowmobile on
December 25 and in some manner
,caught his right foot and received
a badly fractured ankle and right
leg. He was,treated and transfer-
red ',via ambulanCe to Victoria
Hospital, London. Investigated
by Wingham O.P.P. Ricker.

Kincardine Baptist Church was
the setting for a Dedember 3Ist
wedding. when ReV. Cyril E. Mil-
- ler united in marriage Karen '
izabeth Cantelon, eldest daughter
of St. and Mrs. Merrill Cantelon
of R. R. 1 Kincardine and Ridhard
Arthur Hardie , son of Mrs. Dor-,
othy Hardie and the late Mr.
Hardie of Pembroke Pines, Florida
Attending the couple were Mrs.
James. Kersey of Georgetown,
sister of the ride,b and Mi. Ron-
ald Hodgins of Waterloo'.
Following the ceremony a rec.-
eption and dinner was held at the
home of the parents. '•
Guests were preSent from St.
Thomas, Kincardine, Plorida
Waterloo and Georgetown. Mr.
and Mrs. Hardie will reside in
Kitchener.

and was thrown off the machine
and received lacerations to his

A flash fire started in Carl's
Auto Body Shop in 'Brussel:5 Dec-
ember 27.wheil a sparker ignited
gasoline : Ross Somers, age 20,
'Brussels, received 1st and
2nd degree burns to face and right
wrist and a lacerated right knee.
Donald McNeil, age 27, Brussels,
received 1st and 2nd degree burns
to face and right hand; and left
thumb.

2 Lucknow , December 29 was in
collision with a parked car
3 miles East of Lucknow on High-
way 86. He suffered injuries to
right knee, left wrist , and facial

Died At Age 65
FRED McQUILLIN
The community was again sad-
dened on Monday; December 17th,
to learn of the passing of Fred
McQuillin, the second West Wawa
nosh Township farmer within a
week. Fred's death occurred in.
Wingham and District Hospital
following a heart attack.- ,He was
65. ,
Frederick John McQuillin was a
son of the late John 'and Elizabeth
(Habbick) McQuillin and was
born in West. Wawanosh on July
28, 1908.
•On August 28, '1935 he married
Margaret Miller , also of West
Wawanosh.
Fred spent his life-time as a
farmer and for the past several
years he was agent and director
for the West Wawanosh Mutual
Fire Insurance. Company., , He was
also a.Member of the Lucknow
Agricultural Society and an ac-
tive member of St. Peter's Ang-
lican Church, Lucknow -
Besides his wife Margaret .he
is survived by two sons, Ivan of
Kitchener , Barry of Burlington
and four grandchildren; also,; two
sisters Mrs. Irvine (Dorothy)
McCabe of Windsor, Mrs. Carl
(Florence) Johnston of Blueva le
and one brother Frank McQuilli,n
of West Wawanosh.
He was predeceased by his
parents and a sitter Ruth a num-
ber of years ago.

at St. Peter's Anglican Church
on Wednesday,. December 19th
at 2 p. m. ReV. George Garrett'
Was clergyman, with MacKenzie
Funeral Home in charge of funer-
al arrangements,

HARRY B. M. TICHBORNE

the funeral service Deceinber 29
for the late Harry B. M. Tich-
borne who died December 28 at
the. Alexandra Marine and Gener-
al Hospital 'at the age of 81, fol-
lowing a lengthy illness.
Born. March 16, 1886 in Goder-
idh'Township to the late Thomas
and Sarah (Whitley) Tichborne ,
he had been a resident of Goder -
ich.for the past 70 years, working
as a plumber nniil his retirement
in 1958'.
December 24, 1924 he married
Ith97i. the 'former Agnes Kennedy who
predeceased him,in February of
Mr. Tichborne was a member
of'St. George's Anglican Church,
Maitland Lodge number 33,A . F.
and A.M. and the Huron Lodge,
number 30 R.A.M.;
Surviving is 'one sister,
Harry (Olive) Dodd of Goderich.
Pallbearers Were J. 12,. Durnin ,
Doug Fuller ,.`Cliff Hackett , 'Ogle
Miller, Harry Pritzley and toyn-
bee Lamb.
interment ;in Maitland Cemet-
ery followed the service.

PERCIVAL GARBUT
The death of Percival Garbutt
of 16 Garden Avenue , Harrinton,
occurred in St. Joseph's'Hospital
on. Saturday', December 22nd in
his 64th year. He was born
and raised on Manitoulin'Island:
Mr, Garbutt came to Kinloss
Township in 1952.34114e he farm-,
ed for twelve years. In 1964 he
sold his, farm and moved to Harn'-
ilton.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Maria Bouwmeester;
two sons' William of Azilda
and Nipk of Hamilton; also a
brother Marshall 'and two sisters
Mrs. E. (Ella) Smith and Mrs. E,
(Cora) Mayers , all of Manitoulin
Island.
Mr. Garbutt was a member of
The Royal Canadian Legion and
served overseas in. the Second
World War..
The ' funeral service was held
at the Cresmount Funeral Home,
Hamilton on Thursday; Decernbe
27th at 10.30 a.rn. The remain§
rested at MacKenzie Memorial
Chapel; Lucknow until Friday,
Temporary entombment was at
South Kinloss Mausc?leum.
