Constable R. Dawson investigated
an accident on MacKay St. , Tiv-
erton. Donald K. Inkster , Tiver-
ton while backing from a private
parking lot , backed into a parked
vehicle owned by William Semp-
le , R. R. 2 Tiverton,
causing minor damage.
At 3.15 a.m. December 15,
Constable Renwick investigated an
accident on Hwy. 9 , Kincardine
Twp, A vehicle driven by Claire
Halliday, R. R. '2 Teeswater, ,
while westbound , missed a curve
and struck a tree causing minor
damage.
At 5.00 p.m. December 15,
Constable D.' Dawson investigated
an accident on Sideroad 20, "
Kinloss Twp. Danny Kenny , Sam-
is , while northbound, skidded
on the slippery road surface,
entered the west ditch and struck
a tree. A passenger in this ve-
hicle received minor injuries and
extensive damage was done to
the vehicle.

pulled over•into the northbound
lane signalling, for a left turn
into a private driveway. Fisher
changed his mind and in' proceed-
ing back into the south bound lane
struck vehicle operated by Kirk
Fattish, R. R. 5 Wingham , who
was also southbound and in the act
of passing Fisher. Minor damage
resulted from the. collision.
On December 14, at 6.30 p.m.
Constable R. Davison investigated
an accident on Conc .10 east of
Cty. Rd. 1, Kinloss Twp. Bryden
Vrooman, R. .R, 3
Teeswater , while eastbound struck
and killed a cattlebeast , 'the
property of Ernest Hanna.

PEDESTRIANS! Here'i an im-
portant reminder. When you walls

facing oncoming traffic. •Don't
turn your back on a driver who
might not see you in time to
avoid hitting you., Walk so
you're facing oncoming cars and
be ready to step aside to safety
.whenever necessary. Remember
you can't avoid trouble if you
can't see it coming!
AVOID CAR BREAK-INS
MOTORISTS! Don't you tempt
a car thief! When leaving your'
car; always make sure the car
is locked. Also, if you're on
vacation or a business trip,
never leave. Clothes hanging on the
hooks in the back of your car, or
"Foster parents are our most im-
portant people" says Cliff Gilbert.

Howard Schneider of Kitchener
presented local director , Mrs.
Britt-Inger James, with a brick
from the now demolished Kitchen-
er Farmers Market to be a
figurative cornerstone for the
formation of a Bruce County foster
parents association. Mr. Schneid-
er is a member of the newly
formed Provincial Foster Parents
Association.
The 250 guests present had been
of service to the Society in the
past year. They were: foster
parents, volunteers. representativ-
es of education, welfare .

Affairs, the CAS staff, the board
