Midgets Lose.,
Two In Week
Lucknow Midgets lost two
games in the past week. On Tues
day, December Ilth, Ripley doub-
led the score 6 3 in the Lucknow
arena. The local boys simply. /
couldn't keep up with the fist
skating Ripley lads. A combina-
tion of not enough back-checking
and a lack of passing , put 'the
game out of reach.. Scoring for
Lucknow were Torn Peterson from
Randy Alton, Tom Peterson from
.Randy Alton and Tammy ForSter
and Randy Alton from Torn Peter-
son and Tammy Forster.
On December 17th Lucknow
travelled to Blyth and were again
defeated 6 - 3. Defensive lapses
and lack of passing proved a
dciwnfall again as the boys seem
to have fallen from their high
flying start in the schedule. Eith-
er the opposition has improved
greatly; or the home town boys are
not putting enough of the basics
of hockey into the game. Their
record now stands at four wins and,
three losses. Rick Taylor, Jeff
Taylor and Randy Alton scored
for Lucknow in Blyth. The next
'home game is not definite yet
as there are a number• of games
to be re-schedufed. How about
some support to Cheer the' boys
on? To date it is almost nil.
