The biggest barn fire which had
occurred to date in Kinloss Town-
ship was the 'barn on Almer Ack-
ert's farm , just west of the Holy-
rood corner, and it was complete-
ly destroyed 'in a few hours. The
barn was filled with the season's
crop which had been threshed
about three weeks previously. It
was reported as one of the best
equipped in the province, even to
a Delco lighting plant.
The fire was of unaccountable
origin, occurring in the afternoOn
and was quickly out of control.
