ing in the Choir Room on Decem-
ber 4.with 17 members and 2 vis-
itors present. The president,
Mrs. Rice opened the meeting
with Hymn 50 followed by silenCe

by Mrs. As. Mathers. Christmas

Grace Campbell and Mrs. Ewan
Taylor.

Bradley read a letter written by'
Mrs. (Rev.) Johnston entitlted .
"A Memory of Christmas". This
'story was written concerning the .
"'Depression" years and told of .
the trying times then. Mrs.
Bradley added her own thoughts
of Christmas time today to think
of 'the needy and shut-ins and not
just of gifts for ourselves.

BROWNIE
NEWS
On Tuesday , December 4th the
Brownies opened their meeting
with a game "One, Two, Three".
Shirley Loree was our Fairy ,
Queen and she placed the Toad-
stool for Brownie Ring. The
Brownies hopped their Brownie
Gold and Snowy Owl inspeeted
•for a complete uniform. We then
had .our Brownie Prayer.
At Pow Wow Rosalea Cameron
showed her post card collection
and Suzanne Kirkland showed the
books she had read for, the Book ,
Lover badge. Snowy Owl went

Vesper Service On
Sunday Evening
In the setting of a shining star,
a. laughing Jesus, a Christian sym-
bol - decked tree and many light-
ed candles , the Lucknow C. G
T. led in the Vesper Service
"Becaue of A Life" .
Mary Ellen Havens did the
piano accompaniment when the
girls sang "The King of Glory" ,
"A Cry in the Night" and "Star-
light" and played from "Jesus' .
Christ 8uperitar" while the offer-
ing was being received, Gail
Pritchard was at the organ for the
hymns and during the candlelight-
ing. •
The readers were Brenda Mac-
Donald , Barbara LOree and Nancy
Warren, In front of a Biblical
scene , three skits were done by
Laurie Clarke, Mary Lynn. Cayley,
Sandia Henderson, Patti-lou Ir-
win, Dorothy Clark and Glenda
Jamieson.
In the pageant Audrey Ritchie
was"Mary , Nancy Ritchie was
Joseph and the shepherds were
Kim Haldenby , Pamela McIntosh
and Barbara Henderson. •
The. ushers were Susan Clark,
Cathy Jamieson, Etta belle Mac-
Donald and Susan Thompson.

giveness, of outreaching concern.
