patient in University Hospital,
London and since coming home.

The Optical industry this week
came under a barrage of opposir
tion questions. Opposition Lead-
er Robert Nixon suggested an in-
dependent investigation by the
Provincial Government.
Albe,tt Roy (L - Ottawa East)
asked. for a royal commision by
the Federal Government to in-:
vestigate the optical industry
and particularly the Canada wide
activities of Imperial Optical
Company Limited.
Premier William Davis said the
Government will certainly be
looking at the structure and rnem-
bership of the Ophthalniic Dispen-
sers Board.
Previotisly•Stephen Lewis, the
N.D.P. Leader, had asked the
Minister of Consumer and
Commercial Relations to
investigate the industry's prices.
Legislation was introduced and
paged this week to raise the
salaries for Ontario M.P.P.'s to
$22,500 from $18,000. The. Leg-
islation was part of a wide range
of other raises to the. Premier
Cabinet and Opposition Leaders.
Mr. Davis said the new pay
and allowance levels recognized
that being a M.P.P. these days
is a full time job. The last pay '
rise-was4n-1889.
The Premier's total annual
remuneration will rise from
$40,000 to $52,0,00.
Opposition Leader Robert Nix-
on's salary goes from $35,000 to

before being set out for collection.
Businesses using the dump should make sure
'their garbage is thrown well over the bank of the
dump and that their papers, etc, are securely tied
