New China
Painting Course
Contributed.
Ripley', with their motto"Fieri
Postest“ , has come up with anoth-
er .first'. China and Porcelain
painting has been taught by Mrs.
D. Holmes of Toronto to a class
of 16 students during October ,
November and December.
Foithe first time in Weitern
Ontario this class evolved from a
spark of interest by two people
who wanted: to learn China paint-
ing and had acquired Mrs. Hol-
mes to teach them privately.'
Others heard of the venture and
asked if they too.could join the
group. A, request was made
through Ripley High School to the
Bruce Co. Board of Education and
as a result a new class was start
ed through the Night School pro-
gram. To be. efficient , the class
had to have more time, thus Sat-
urday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. is
a busy place in the Cafeteria at •
the School.

Holmes teacher, Mrs. Allister
