Norman O'Connor , a 'life-long
resident of Ashfield Township
until moving to Huronview three
years ago, passed away at Huron-
view on Thursday ,'November
22nd , in his 63rd year. „
He was born in Ashfield Town-
ship on August 10, 1910, a son of
Michael and Nellie' (Sullivan)
O'Connor.
Mr. O'Connor farmed all his
life until retiring three years ago
becauSe of ill health.
He is survived by his daughter
Patricia O'Connor of Thunder Bay;
one brother John of Kingsbridge;
and sisters, Mrs. Ursula.
MrS. Frank (Elaine) Leddy, Mrs.
Leo (Marcella) Courtney, all of
Goderich, Mrs. Raymond (GertL
rude) Leddy of LuCknow , Mrs. Gus
(Genevieve) Kinahan of Kings-
bridge , Mrs. Peter (Betty) Murray
of Detroit and Mrs; Joseph
(Monica) Kasper of Grosse Point
Michigan.
His wife , the former Ann San-
saterra , passed away in 1957.',
The late Mr. O'Connor rested
at the McCallum Funeral Home,
Goderich, until Sanirday morning
when Requiem MdSs and burial
took place• at St. Joseph's Church.

On 86th Birthday
A family dinner party was held
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Raynard Ackert, November 22nd
in honour of Mrs. Ernest Ackert
who celebrated her 86th birthday
that day. _ '
Twenty-four members of the
family attended, including Mr.
and Mrs. Lloyd Ackert and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Graham , Mr.
and Mrs. Lloyd Graham., Mr. and
Mrs. Rob Shouldice and Steven
and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ack-
ert , Bob and Betty Ann.
Mrs. Ackert received many
birthday greetings by .mail and
phone including those from son
Harvey at present in western
Canada and grandchildren Ronald
'at Holtyer , Ernest , holidaying in
Florida , Olive Gauthier , Sudbury ,
Marjery Ubakata , Bolton and '
Anne Ackert of Cedar Springs.
After dinner, all enjoyed play-
ing progressive lost heir and other
games.
