NEWS
On Tuesday, November 20th
the Brownie meeting started with
a game of ball.
We then had Brownie Ring with
Anne Hamilton as-Fairy Queen.
The Sixers collected for Brownie
Gold and Snowy Owl did
inspection to see if everyone re-
membered their shoes. We closed
Brownie Ring with the Brownie
Prayer.
At Pow Wow Tawny Owl. pres-
ented Elizabeth Wilkins with her
Book Lover Badge. 411 the Brown-
ies are to try and bring a Christ-
mas g.ift to be sent on to the
Children's Aid Society. The Slic-
ers are to try and Nave a game for
the Pack to play next week.

tested for Finger Code with Judy
Hunter passing 'this test. Tawny
Owl took the Tweenies for the
Biciwnie Story while the rest Of
the Brownies talked about a badge
they would liketo work for. We
then practised for the enrolment
of the Tweenies next week.
The meeting closed with the
Squeeze and. Taps.
TOPS Meet
On November 21st, sixteen
members of Tops Club weighed
in at the Town Hall. After the
Tops Pledge we sang the Tops
Song "You'd Better Watch Out".
Roll call showed that one member
lost her marble and another
won hers back. Rita Howard
was the week's best loser. In the
Christmas Contest the "Blues" are
ahead'of the "Reds".
On November 17th, Marion
Mowbray, Diane Morrison, Bar-
bara Emberlin and Mayme Wilk-
ins attended 'a Tops Workshop in
Walkerton. Ruth Lauzon, area
supervisor, was the guest speaker.
We all felt it was a very benefic-
ial afternoon.
Eunice Cunningham and Jane
Treleaven were• appointed as aud-
itdrs for this year.
It was passed unanimously that.
we purchase a set of metric scales,
with Barbara Emberlin to see
about it. /
We decided to carry on with'a
half hour of exercises every night
and a special program once a
month.
DIED AT GUELPH
There passed away at Guelph on
the week end Mrs. Arnold Barb-
our, whose husband passed away
one month ago. Attending the
funeral at Guelph at 1.30 on 'Mon-
day from the community were
Elmer Woods of St. Helens,
Mr.- and Mrs.' Walter Alton of
Lucknow•, Mr. and Mrs. Lorne
Durnin of Whitechurch, Mr. and
Mrs. Don Montgomery of Wing-
ham,'Mrs. Elwood Barbour
of St. Helens.
Mr. arid Mrs. Wesley Tiffin
spent the week end with Mr. and
Mrs. Jim,Henderson of Brantford.

We .are pleased to report that
Russel Ritchie was able to return
home on. Friday from Wingharn
Hospital.
Mrs. Bill. Evans spent Friday
in London and at the noon hour
visited with her daughter Mrs.
Edith Brown. •
Miss Alma Conn of Guelph
University was 'a week end visitor
with her parents Mr. and Mrs.
Wallace Conn and on Saturday
Mr. and Mrs. Douglat.Coniey
and Jason of Wingham also, visited
them.
Mr. and Mrs. Russel IvIcGuire
spent the week end in Toronto
with Mr. and Mrs. Lee McGuire
and Elmer McGuire.
Russel Ross and Mrs. Jim Tailor
visited Sunday with Mrs. Russel
Ross, a patient at Kitchener •
Hospital.
Mrs. Eatl Caslick visited Sun-
day with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lewis
and Michael of Wingham.
Home for the week end with
:heir parents Mr. and Mrs. Dan
Tiffin were Joyce of London and
Barry of Kitchener. On Saturday
evening Mr. and Mrs. Doug Tiffin
and Lori, Mr. and Mrs. Bevin
Tiffin and Stephen, Barry and
Joyce Tiffin took their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tiffin to Turn-
berry Tavern to celebrate their
wedding anniversary. The com-
munity extends their congratula-
tions.
On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Dan
Tiffin and their family had Mrs.
Ethel Stewart of Wingham to join
them in celebrating her 75th birth-
day.

On Saturday evening Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Moore and Linda at-
tended a party in Wroxeter for Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Moore , newly
weds; The shower was held at
the home of Mrs. Joe Moore ,
where ar8und 43 gathered. There
was also a party held for the men.

will reisde in Kitchener.
Cindy and Richard Moore spent
Saturday evening at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Hickey and
family.

and Donna of St. Paul visited on

and attended a. wedding at 'Ripley.

On Friday , Mrs. Gordon Rintoul
and Garry took Gayle•to King;
Ontario to Accompany Mrs. Leroy
Rintoul to Regina Fair. Mrs. Le
roy Rintoul and Miss Gayle Rid-
toul left by plane on Sunday. for
Regina, where they will spend this
week. Little Carol Rintoul re-
mained with Mrs. Osborne so she
could attend school. Debbie and
Kimberley are visiting with their
grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. St
ley Black until their parents r
from Regina.
