The boys 'defeated Ripley by a score of 6 to 5 in a very close contest which was on in the last, 20 seconds of the game, . Point getters for Lucknow were Brad Humphrey and Paul Hamil- ton, 2 goals each, Danny Londry and David Errington 1 goal each; Srephsen Simpson 1 assist. On Monday, November. 26, the boys, with a little more fire in their eyes after losing to Wing-. ham, shut out Blyth by a score of 3 to 0, . Ripley curierS are now in the second week of the new season, with renewed interest as many who have not curled for a number of years are back at the "roaring game". Tomorrow 'night Will see the first round of Mixed Curling which has proved very 'popular' for the past two years. The Ladies of the Curling Club . held their annual Pot-Luck supper on Thursday, Noverriber 22nd at 7 p.m, with a large attendance sitting down to a bountiful smor- gasbord. The tables were attrac-, tively decorated by the decorat- ing committee, Evelyn Coiling and Elaine Emmerton. After ,the supper, Mary Walden led in a lively sing song followed by a humorous skit , 'Just Another One', acted out by Marg Rouse, Judy Coiling and Evelyn. Coiling. The neighbourly news was given by Elaine Ernmerton. Elaine Pollock then entertained with a reading about 'Bessie's Boil'. An up-to- date account of our ladies' curling club, in rhyme, by Donalda Pollard was enjoyed by all present Two lucky chair prizes were won by Marj MacTavish and Sus- an Elliott. Some of the members and interested beginners spent an hour on the ice learning the fine points, of the game. Our Draw Committee, Ruth Farrell, Donalda Pollard and Evelyn Coning made up their pre' Christmas draws to begin Monday. So far we have 10 stuffed toys to sell. , The patrols played the Kims game arid the 3rd patrol won. The second and first patrol tied for second place. Next the girls played a game. Next week the third patrol is going to have campfire.
