Philip Breckles, R. R. 2 Gocler-
ich, sister-in-law of the groom.
They were all dresSed in , matching
floor-length gowns of mauve flor-
al nylon sheer, featuring straight
skirts With midriff waists ; high
necklines and sheer ; puffed,'full-
length sleeVes. They wore match-:
ing "mauve rosettes in their hair.
The flowergirl, Miss Janice
Mann, Heathcote , Ontario, cous-
in of , the bride , was dressed iden-
tical to that of the bridesmaids.
All the attendants carried white
baskets of white shasta daisies and
white streamers.

Goderich,. nephew of the groom,
was ringbearer.
Philip Breckles , R. R. 2 Goder-
ich, brother of the, groom , was
best 'man and guests were ushered -
by Jeff Hayes., and Bob LaRose,•
both of Wingham and friends of
the groom.
A reception was held in the
Wingham Legion Hall in• the
evening with dancing to the music
of The Bennet Farmhands, where
a buffet luncheon was served.
The bride's mother wore a full
length gown with skirt of blue;
floral nylon chiffon and bodice
and full length sleeves of heaven-
ly blue nylon crystalette and cor-
sage of yellow shasta
daisies with yellow bow .
The groom's mother wore a
burgunday street-length dress of
crimpelene , princess style with a,
rounded neckline outlined with
matching sequins and short sleeves
She wore a corsage of white shasta
daisies with white bow.
For travelling to' the United
States the bride chose a short dress
of brown printed polyester, trim-
med with white collar and cuffs on
full-length sleeves and wore brown
accessories. •
On their return the happy couple
will reside in: Kinlough , Ontario.
Guests attended the wedding
from Wingham Galt , Elmira ,
Listowel, Stratford., Heathcote ,
Palmerston, MeafOrd Lucknow,
Hespeler, Brussels, Waterloo, Kit-
chener , Holyrood , Ripley , Goder-
Leh , Sarnia and surrounding area.
Prior to her marriage', the bride
was honored at a girlfriend shower
at the home of lirenda Johnson, .
R. R. 2 Gorrie, a relative shower
at the home of Connie Manning, ',
Stratford and a neighbor shower at
the home of Mrs. William Behrns,
R. R. 1 Wroxeter.

W.I. EUCHRE PARTY
On Wednesday afternoon White-
church Women's Institute held a
progressive euchre party at 2 p. m.
in the . Community Memorial
Hall with 12 tables in play.
Prizes were 'won by: high, Mrs.
Vera Armstrong, Mrs. Russel
Gaunt; draw prize , Mrs. Margar-
et Carter; lone hand prize , Olive
Kennedy; lucky. cup, Mrs. ,Allist-
er Hughes. A dessert lunch was
then served by the committee.
Visitors the past week at' the
manse with Mrs.. Murdock were
her aunt 'Mrs. Ruby MacKean
and her grandmother Mrs. Emily
King of Sydney , Nova Scotia., .
The ladies came by plane to Tor-
onto and•expect to return by plane
next week"
We.are sorry to report, that two
of our W.I. members*, \Mrs. John-
ston Conn and Mrs. Jim. Currie'
were confined to hospital this
week. We wish them a speedy
recovery.
WEDDING RECEPTION
On Saturday evening a wedding
receptiOn was held in Whitechurch
-Community Memorial Hall for
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Nicholson
(nee Irene de poer) of Strathroy.
A large crowd gathered in their
honor and dancing was enjoyed to
music by Tiffins Orchestra with ,
Brian RintOul doing the calling
off. • •
At lunch time Mr., add Mrs.
Nicholson were called to the. '
platform given seats of honor
while Jim de poer spoke words of
welcome and praise in honor of .
Mr. and Mrs. Nicholson. Carl'
McClenaghlan on behalf of the '
gathering presented them with a
gift of money.. Irene and Ronald
both replied thanking the folks for
their kindness in attending the
party, for their gift and for putt-
ing on the party. • ,
All 'then sang For They are Jolly
Good Fellows.
PRESENTATION
On Friday evening Curries
School Euchre Club held a progres-
sive -euchre party at the Assembly
room in the Belgrave arena. This
party was arranged Roy Patti-
son and Noble Greenaway. The
prize winners were high lady,
Mrs. Gershom Johnston; high gent,
Roy Dawson; low lady, Patty
Shiell; low gent , George Walker;
lucky winners were Wilfred Walk-
er and Jim Coultes. At lunch
time Mr. and Mrs. Bob Scott were
called to.' the front when Howard
Walker• read an address, and Roy
Pattison and Noble Greenaway
presented them with a
picture With a light and a table
lamp. Mr. and Mrs. Scott both
replied thanking the club for their
kindness in remembering them
with the beautiful gifts to remind
them of the past when they lived
in the community with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Scott now reside in
Wingham.
Whitechurch So-Sew Club held
a work meeting Tuesday evening
at the home of Mrs. Walter Elliott
to catch up on their articles and
Record Books.

went to London, where George,

Currie will visit in London with

Mrs. Walter Moore accompan-
ied Mrs. Joe Moore and. Mrs. Dor-
othy MoOre of Wroxeter to Kitch-
ener to attend the wedding of
Gor4on,Moore and Kathy Gilli-
land of Palmerston. The wedding
dinner was served in the church
at Palmerston.
Calvin Brawn of Knox College ,
Toronto, spent Friday evening
with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Murdock,
Mrs. Emily King and Mrs. Mac
Kean and on Saturday accompan-
ied them to Toronto, where Mrs.
King and Mrs. Mac Kean will
visit till Tuesday with' Miss Ruth
King and then go by plane to their
home at Sydney , Nova Scotia.
We are pleased to report that
Mrs. Johnston Conn of Wingham
was able to return to. her home
from Wingham Hospital on Satur-
day. ' • . •
Mr.. and Mrs. Floyd Bott of Fer-
gus visited on Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs.• Archie. Purdon and fam-
ily, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Rintoul,
and family and her mother Mrs.

Holyrood, were united in
marriage by Rev. G. W. Sach in
a double ring ceremony., on Fri-
day, November .2nd at 7 p.m. in
the United Church, Gorrie.
Mrs. G. W.„ Sach, of Gorrie,

The church was decorated with
candelabra arrangements of
Mauve candles, yellow shasta
daisies with a touch of
mauve, which were entwined with
single poms. Yellow and mauve
bows marked the guests pews.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father ,* chose a long gown
of white polyester satin. It feat-
urged .a .straight skirt with a midriff
waist , high neckline and lily
point sleeves. The midriff, neck•
line and sleeve edges were: out-
lined with white and mauve daisy
lace. Her full length veil of
chantilly lace outlined with •
matching daisy' lace was held in
place with a pearl and rhinestone
tiara. She carried a cascade of
pink sweetheart roses and minia-
ture pink carnations and ivy..
