The band was led by Mr. Gordon Cayley with Mrs, Tom Pritchard accompanying several numbers on the,piano. The staff and pupils are most grateful to the Lucknow Band for sharing their music with them. PIONEER DAYS Tuesday, October 30th , grade 3 and 4 pupils in Room 2 at Brookside Public School dressed as pioneers for their "Pioneer Day". Parents were invited and' 14 attended. The students made bread and butter, sang pioneer songs in Music and played Pioneer games in Physical ,Education._ A pioneer story was read after math and spelling. Pioneer lighting (a candle) was used during part of the day. A booklet was made about Pioneer Life and an 8 MM. film was shot of the children per- forming these activities.
