The following description of the
.property may give the partici-
pants in the contest a better idea
of more suitable names to
suggest in keeping with the con-
servation theme for the area.
The property is comprised of
the east part of Lot 30, all of Lot
31 and the west part of Lot, 32, in
Concession Seven-of East Wawa-
nosh Township.
The site, will be developed and
maintained as forestry and
Wildlife preserve with future
plans possibly calling for a
demonstration pasture farm on
the west side of the Maitland
River and an outdoor education
study area on the east side of the
river.
The site offers a wide variety of
vegetation and thus gives the
area a very scenic, natural ap-
pearance. The area has an un-
limited potential' as a Wildlife
management area with an abun-
dant forest cover of many
species.
Names suggested for the
property could reflect some part'
of its historical or topographical
features, as well as any factors
relating to the' vegetation
preserit, the watercourses that
traverse the area. or even the
Wildlife which inhabits'the site.
