A ' FALL SAFETY CHECK
Motorist ! Now's a good time
to make sure your car is
ready for the long, cold , winter
ahead. Have your car safety
checked now to make sure it's in
good working order this winter.
The safety check should include
brakes, 'wheel alignment , steer-
ing assembly , exhaust system.
tires and all lights. Also'check
such important items as cooling
system, hose connections, battery
and wiper blades. A. complete
pre-winter check now can save
time and money later on. Dbn't
wait for winter ... be' ready
for it!'
PEDESTRIANS IN NOVEMBER
Pedestrians! Collision facts
prove that long hours of darkness
in November greatly increase
pedestrian hazards. Dusk and
darkness, come earlier- now and-
patch many people on foot in traf-
fic. Quite often, they're wear-
ing dark fall or winter clothing,
and are very hard for drivers to ,
see. As a pedestrian, always
wear or carry something light in
colour , and don't depend on• driv
ers seeing you ... see for yourself
