Pine. River was investigated by
Constable JackSon. A vehicle
operated by Joseph Vermeersch,
R. R. 1 Wyoming struck the bridge
abutment and then collided with
a vehicle operated by Peter Wal-
pole, Owen Sound. Total dam-
age was $1,200.00.
A single vehicle accident oc-
curred on, Hwy. 21• north of Pine
River. A vehicle operated by
Peter Huston, R. R: # 1 Kincar-,
dine left the roadway and entered
the ditch. The accident was in-
vestigated by Constable Daulby..
On September 16, John White ,
Kincardine suffered injury when
his motorcycle overturned on
Penetangore Row , south of Bruce
Ave. Constable, Daulby investig-

The seventh meeting of Luck-
now #2 4,1-1 Club was held Mon-
day, October 29 at 7.00 p.m. in
the Lucknow Central Public
School.
The meeting was brought to
order by Diane MacKenzie and
all repeated the 4-H Pledge. All
present answered the roll call,
."One sewing technique I haVe
learned".
The secretary read the minutes*
of the last meeting. These were
adopted as read. Coralyn Hend-
erson gave the treasurer's report. •
As yet the date for Achievement
Day is unknown. Plans fox'
Achievement Day were discussed..
It was'decided to do a skit on
"The Functions of a 'Bedroom".
Problems''relating to articles being
Made were disCusied and hope-
fully solved.
For Group Work 'each girl
worked on either samples or art-
icles to be made.
The meeting closed with, the
Creed.

The So-Sew Club held their
meeting on Tuesday evening at
the home of Mrs. Walter Elliott
leader.
The president Kathy Purdon op-
ened the 'meeting with the 441
pledge. The roll was called and
answered by any change made in
their bedroom. Janet Adams read
the Minutes.
The discussion centred on plans
for Achievement Day.. Rhonda
Gibson was chosen for comryien-
tator. Cover for Record Books
was discussed as was sewing box ,
putting in a zipper and mitered
corner,. .
In •group work they put in zip-
per and worked on mitered corn-
er. The meeting' closed with the
4-H Creed.
The next meeting will be on:
Tuesday evening at the home of
Mrs. Elliott. The roll call is to
be.. "One characteristic of a good
bedroom accessory".
Nightime Ninets
On Thursday , October 26 at the
home of Mrs. Ritchie, the LUck-
now No. 1 4-H club held their
sixth meeting. There were eight
girls present:

members. We discussed plans for
last meeting: We were given
instructions for Achievement pay. •
We are going to have a work
meeting Tuesday,, October 30 at
the St. Helens .Hall. Mrs. Aitchi
sotrread about different foods,
from China , Japan and India, We
took up handout sheets for meet-
ing 7 and 8. The leaders made
1-2-3-4 Casserole and Spice
Drop Cookies. They also made
Broiled Pear Halves. Margaret
MacPherson, Debbie Errington
and Bonnie Humphrey did the dish.

ed the meeting with the

of the last meeting were read by.
Lynn Elphick. Mrs. Hamilton and
Mrs. Elphick discussed Plans for
Achievement Day. Mrs. Hamil-
ton demonstrated how to do
Machine Blind Heinming.
We were then given time to
work on our accessories or
do our sample of machip
hemming. We closed wit the
4-H Creed. •
The sixth meeting of the Cham.
ber Charmers took place on Sat-
urday , October 27th at 1.30 p.m.
at the home of Nancy and Hilda.
de ,Boer. Nancy de Boer called
the meeting to order. The 4-H
Pledge was repeated by the girls'.
Anne Colwell took roll call
which was "The record book
brought up to date". She then
read -the minutes of the
last meeting which were adopted
as read. •
We discussed the colour of our
book covers and decided on green
with silver or gold lettering. We
worked 'on Italian
Hemstitching for the remainder
of the meeting. .
The next sheeting will be held
Saturday, November 3rd at 1.30
p. m. at the home of Betty.Col-
well.•
