Nicholson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Nicholson of R./R. 2 Lucknow , took place in .White- church Presbyterian Church on Saturday , October 6 -at .4 p .m . The front of the •church was dec- orated with two candelabras with yellow candles and bronze and yellow mums. White boWs mark- ed the guest pews. Rev. Glenn Noble of Lueknow assisted by Mr. Lloyd Murdock, student minister of Whitechurch Presbyterian Church, officiated at the double ring Ceremony. Given in marriage by her father , the bride wore a dress of • white polyester satin, fitted bodice„ stand-Up collar and long sleeves , tapering to a point at the wrists-. The collar, waist and sleeves were trimmed with ivory loop lace. The bride made her own bridal goWn and veil. She - carried a cascade of yellOW roses, yellow baby mums and ivy. Maid of honour was Miss Janet de Boer of R. R. 1 Bluevale, cous- in of the bride. Her dress was styled the 'same as the bride's ex- cept 'with long puffy sleeves and wide cuff in'a deep mauve floral patterned sheer and lined with plain mauve polyester. Her head- piece was a small crown of mauve ribbon: ' Bridesmaids 'were Miss Nancy de Boer of R. R. 1 Teeswater cousin of the bride and Miss Mary Nicholson of R. R. 2 Lutknow , sister of the groom. Following a. wedding trip to Northern Ontario, the couple are residing at 11 George Street, Strathroy, where the groom is employed with Wrights , Strathroy and the bride is an X-ray Tech- nician at Strathroy Hospital. Mrs; Janet MacConnell of Mildmay spent the last two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Herb Buckton. Mr. and Mrs. Fraser MacKinnon• attended the Road Superintendents' Banquet held in ElmWood , Friday evening. Visitors 'on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Dickie were Mr. and•Mrs. Russell Beacock, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Beacock and Michael of Wiarton and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dickie and Steven of Hope Bay. Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Threndyle and family of Corunna visited Sunday, 'afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. John Needham and after were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Henderson and attended the service in Lucknow Presbyterian Church. Linda. Sparks of Toronto spent. the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Sparks. The bride's mother chose a long-sleeved floor-length dress of blue crepe with corsage of white baby chasta, mums tinted pink with pink ribbon. The groom's mother wore a sleeveless floor-length gciwn of deep mauve crepe and corsage of White baby chasta mums with yellow ,ribbon. For travelling the bride, donned a: brown and white plaid two- piece suit accented by black ac- cessories.
