Honoured On
80th Birthday
On Sunday, October 7th, the
family of Mrs. Albert (Mabel)
Campbell., Lucknow., 'met at the
home of Mt. and Mrs. William
Campbell in, Kincardine to cele-,
brate Thanksgiving together and
also to honour Mrs. Campbell on
the occasion of her eightieth birth-
day. The actual birthday date is
October 18th. -
Present for 'the happy 'event with
Mrs. Campbell were Mr. and Mrs.
William Campbell;. Reg Campbell,
Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Court-
ney ,and family, Huron Township;
Mr. and Mrs. Ellwood Irwin and
family, Sarniai Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Kempton and family , Amberley;
and Mr. and Mrs. Brad Rotteau
and Amy, London.
A lovely dinner was served
along with' a decorated birthday
cake. Mrs.. Campbell was present•
ed with gifts from her family .
along "with their best wishes for
many happy years ahead. Mrs.
Campbell resides in her own
apartment in Lucknow , in good -
health and, quite active. She has
two sons , Bill of Kincardine and
Reg of Toronto, 4 grandchildren,
14 great grandchildren and one
great grandchild. A third son
Lyle died a number of years ago.
During the afternoon pictures
were taken of the five generations
that were present , great,. great
grandmothet, Mrs. Mabel Camp-
hell; great grandfather, William
Campbell; grandmother., Mrs.
Bill Kempton (Janet Campbell);
mother, Mrs. Brad Rotteau

Lynne Rotteau , six months.

it was about 7 a.m. when Raynard
Ackert of .Kinloss fli?und the injur-
ed man in the car.
His left leg, the leg which was
severely injured 'in the, first accid-
ent , was again broken. As well,
he suffered concussion ; a bad gash
on the head and. abrasions 'to the •
face and hands. The car was
completely wreCed.
At the time of his earlier injury,
Emerson spent 8 months in hospit.-
al at various times and as-well,
many months at home convalesc-
ing,
He has been attending the adult
education rehabilitation school in
London and was working on his
grade 12 standing which he had
hoped to complete by the 1st of
the year.

Harold Reed Sherwood of Grand
Bend 'passed away in St. Joseph's
Hospital, London on Friday; Oct-
ober 12th. ,.His death was due to
a heart attack. ,
Mr.. Sherwood, who 'was in his
67th' year , was born at Landis,
Saskatchewan on December 13th,
`1916 a son of Ernest Sherwood and
Elizabeth May Reed.
Mr. Sherwood' was with Massey
Ferguson and had been a dealer'
in Exeter for 21 years.
He,is survived by two brothers
Frank of Mississauga and Lloyd .
of Vancouver.
He was predeceased by his
parents and a sister Zelda,
The funeral, service was held
on Monday , October 15, at
3 p. m, at MacKenzie Memori
Chapel., Lucknow,
