Hanover Gathering
While many people are re -
adjusting themselves to the usual •
September routine, Jehovah's
Witnesses are busy, planning an-
other get together.
Lincoln Martin of Brussels,
presiding minister of the local
congregation, said that the second
semi-annual circuit assembly
will again be held at the John
Diefenbaker School at Hanover
this week end, September 8th
and 9th.
When 'asked why such a gather-
ing is scheduled so soon after the
large Toronto convention, Mr.
Martin said, "Our assemblies
both large and small are a source
of great spiritual strength to us.
They supplement our fine congreg-:
ational meetings in Kingdom 'Hall,
each week. We welcome them
anytime."
L., F. Gray, the convention
manager for the Toronto gather-
ing, •will act as chairman. Be-
sides other activity he will deliv-
er the' main discourse on Sunday

will be on hand to speak to the
gathering.
Messrs Gray and Skinner are
in the Hanover area this week
making final preparations with the
Hanover congregation to hbst up-
wards to a thousand persons as the
assembly gets• under way with the
theme "Keep Close in Mind Je-
hovah's Day".

WEDDING RECEPTION
• On•Saturday evening a wedding
supper was held at 5 p.m. for'
Mr. and Mrs. Terry England,'
newly weds, at the Vendome' Hot-
el, Teeswater for 24 immediate
relatives. In the evening a re-
ception was held at Lucknow
Legion Hall with music supplied
by the Alley Cats, and Brian
RintOul calling off. At lunch
time Mr. and Mrs. Terry England
were called to the' front: Gary
Meyetread an address and pres-
ented them with a"gift 'of money
from those present. ,
Terry replied, Tanking all for
coming for those putting on the
time for them, for their gift of
money and for other gifts brought
to the hall and to his home. All
sang For They are Jolly Good Fel-
lows.'•
Miss Alma Conn, after spending
the holiday month's at Saskatoon
in practise work, arrived home
on Monday. She will resume
her studies, at Guelph University
on September" 10.
Paul Falconer arrived home on
Friday after a holiday at Mont-
real.

We' are sorry to report that
Russell Ross is a patient at Victor-
ia-Hospitai , London. where he
underwent surgery on Friday last.
The community wish him a most
speedy recovery. Mrs. Russel
Ross was•released from Kitchener
Hospital last Saturday and, accom-
panied by,Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ross
•and family they called on. Russel
at Victoria Hospital. Mrs. Ross is
now with her daughter Mrs. Jim
Taylor and .Mr. Taylor. of
