Successful tenderers will pay municipal taxes on the land
with balance to the Ministry in grain at current market prices,
delivered to the Maintenance building at 'Lot 8, Conc. III',. Hullett
Township.

• Highest or any tender, may not be accepted.
Land use permit will expire upon harvesting of crop; type of•
crop will determine date of expiry. Factors other than rental fee
per acre will be considered in the awarding of tenders. A renewal
• option fora 3-yepr period maximum, will be available. Land presently
used as pasture must remain so.

A reception followed at the
Maitland .Golf. and Country Club,
Goderich: .
The bride's mother wore a full
length dress of blue chiffon with
flowered skirt and pink tinted
rosebud corsage.
The groom's mother wore a
ftill length dress•of blue figured
chiffon with pink tinted rosebud
corsage.
For travelling the bride chose a
two-piece.navy checked pant suit
with red accessories.
Following a wedding trip
in Southern Ontario and Niagara
Falls, the couple 'are residing at
R. R. 1 Dungannon..
Prior to her marriage the bride
was honoured at three showers;
aunts of the bride held ,a shower
at Carlow, a community shower
was held at Carlow Hall and a
Port Albert shower at the Anglican
Church.
Kairshea WI,
• The August meeting of the Kin-
loss Kairshea W.I. was held at
the Hall, Mrs. Annie MacIntyre •
•was hostess. The meeting open-.
ed in the usual way• with singing
the Ode and repeating the Mary
Stewart Collect. The scripture
from Psalm 24 was read by Nancy
Maclntyre.
The 4-H training school was
discussed and two members
appointed to take the course held
in Walkerton Septembet 10th and
11th and Kincardine Septernber
14th' and 15th. Reports from the
Lucknow and Teeswater Fait com-
mittee were given, also a repott
on the Craft Festival, which ,
brought the. W.I. a substantial
profit..
Margaret Keith took the chair
for the programme', first item
being a number of .exerdises, fol-
lowed by the roll call - My Fay-
ourite Song. A demonstration,
"using paper to save time" Was
given, by Nancy MacIntyre. 'This
was most interesting. :A hilarious
skit called 'The Kitchen Band"
with Margaret Keith as M.C. was
most enjoyable.. -
The September meeting will be
at the home of Mrs. Ira Dickie
September 20th at 8 p.m. Mrs.
Kirkpatrick, District, PreSident
will be guest speaker. Courtesy
remarks by Nancy Maclntyre,
the singing of 0 Canada and Grace
closed the meeting.
Lunch was served by directors
Nancy Maclntyre and Margaret
Keith and hostess.

family 'of Toronto visited on Thurs.'

Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Janssen
and David of London visited with,

Sutton. John Sutton returned to
London, with them for a.holiday.

son Peter of Montreal visited with
Mr, and Mrs. Malcolm Lane and
Hugh and with Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Maulden and Keith.
Mri. Gertrude Walsh, Who has
been visiting with Mr.. and Mrs.
Jack Walsh and family and other
relatives and friends at Melfort ,•
Saskatchewan, returned home on
Tuesday.

Mrs. Marretta Hodgins spent a
few days last week at her home
here. She will be leaving this
week for Niagara where she will
make her home with.Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth .Hodgins and family
for a time.

Hedley were holidaying during„,the
week with their grandmother. Mrs.
Bertha Haldenby of Westford.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Haldenby re-
turned home from TOronto where •
they attended their grandson's
'wedding on Saturday last.
Mr. and Mrs. 'Howard Bennett
and Brian Whiteside of Toronto
'visited, during the week with Mr,
and Mrs: Art. Haldenby.
.Brian Whiteside remained for a
,holiday, with his grandparents.
Mrs. Bob 'Smith anthdaughter
`Debbie of North Bay spent a few
days with relatives here. Jim ,
Smith, who has been visiting with
them, returned to his home in
Holyrood, Their grandfather,
George Haldenby, went to North
Bay with them for a visit.
Bob Scott , concession 4., Huron,
.son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scott,
concession 10, Underwent Surgery
in the Kincardine and District
Hospital on Friday. We wish him
a good recovery.
The Holyrood Women's Institute
will meet on Thursday evening,
SepteMber 6th, at 8.15' p.m. This,
will be the grandmother's meet-
ing and the hostesses will be Mrs.
