The marriage of Mary Jane
Joynt, daughter of Mr. arid Mrs.
Georgeloynt of Lucknow, and
William John 0' Hara of St. Cath-
arines. son of Dr. and Mrs. John .
O'Hara of Toronto took place on
Saturday, July 28th at 4.30 p.m. ,
in the garden pourt of Glendon
College, York University, Toron••

Givenin marriage by her fath-
er,, the bride ware a floor-length
gown of white Swiss cotton voile
with a window pane white ribbon
like effect. The dress featured
a scooped „ruffled neckline and
6111 princess sleeves, ruffled at
the wrist. Her headpiece was a
band of French cotton flowers ai-
ternating yellow and yhite, with
thirteen white streamers, symbol-
ic of 'the combined members .of
the bride and groom's family.
She carried a nosegay of yellow
baby roses, cornflowers and baby's
'breath with yellow streamers.
Maid of honour was Miss Eliza -.
beth Reicher of Toronto. She
wore a floor-length sleeveless sun
dresi'of lime green and white
Swiss cotton voile,` 'which featur-
ed a cape and flounce of sheer
striped lime green and white,
georgette. She wore tiny green
French cotton flowers .in her hair. •
Bridesmaids were Miss Kather-
ine loynt, sister of the bride, and
Miss Jane O'Hara , sister of 'the
groom.
They were gowned alike in
sleeveless sun dresses of yellow
and white Swiss cotton voile. The'
dresses featured scooped ruffled
necklines and ruffles around the
edge and up the centre back of
the, dress to the waist. They wore .
a Cluster of yellow and white
French, cotton flowers and yellow.

streamers in their hair. Each
attendaht carried a single large
yellow chrysanthemum.
' Mark O'Hara was groomsman.
Ushers were Paul and John O'Hara,
all brothers of the-grootn.
Following the 'outdoor wedding,
punch was served on the terrace
and a dinner and, dance followed
in "The Old Dining' Hall" of the.
Glendon Crnpus.
The bride's mother chose a
gown of French chiffon in mottled .
shades of dusty rose,- beige, burnt
orange and yellow. A corsage of
yellow and orange sweetheart •
roses complimented her dress.
The mother of the groom wore
arsleeveless silk gown in shades,
of royal blue, 'lime green and
orange. She chose a white gard;
enia for' her hair,.
The couple honeymooned at
Lake Placid., New. York and the
State of Vermont.
Prior to the wedding, the
blide 'was entertained at a. number
of showers and parties. Aunts of-
the bride, Mrs. lames Gibson and
Mrs. James Noulty co,thosted a
relative shower. Ober showers
were given by Mrs. Bill Nelson;
by Mrs. Ken Chester assisted by
Mrs. Brock Cleland and Mrs.
Stuart C011yer; .by Mrs. Don Cress-
well of Toronto; by Mrs. Roy '
Finlayson, assisted 'by Mrs.
Virden Mowbray and Mrs. Orville
Elliott; and by Mrs. Morgan Hend-
erson.
Mrs., Peter O'. Hara hosted a
luncheon at her home in*Toronto
in the brides honour.
Engagement parties were given
for the bride and groom by Miss
Jane O'Hara , sister of the groom
and by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Crothers, Toronto.
Mr, and MP. Charles Wilkins ,
had her sister, Mr. and Mrs.' Chat,
les Riath, Graham and. Chris of
Woodstock on Sunday, also on
Sunday afternoon Mrs.. Isobel
Edge. worth and grandsons., Robbie
and Brian of London.
Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Cook,
Sharon Michele, Gerald, Jan-
ice and Lorraine Hamilton of
Lucknow spent Tuesday of last
'week with her mother, Mrs.
Frank Hamilton of ,Masonvilla '
Nursing Horne, London.
Mrs. Lulu Anderson left on the
weekend for Hagersville to the
home of her sister, Mrs. Charles
Ashbaugh. Mrs. Anderson will
attend the funeral of her niece,
age twenty nine, whose home
was at Dundas. .
Mr. and Mrs. Russel Swan,
Linda, Kevin and Margaret and
Earl Swan of Lucknow spent Sun-
day afternoon with Russel's aunt
Miss Margaret Disher of Goderich.
Mrs: Frances Wilkins left last
week to spend a few days with her
son Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilkins of
Paisley.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Ritchie and
Carol 'spent Sunday with his sister,
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith of Moles-
worth.
Mrs: Gordon Needham, Scott
and Dale of London spent Tuesday
evening with -Mr. and Mrs. John
Hunter and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ritchie
left. Wednesday of 'last week and
returned home.Sunday, visiting
with her mother Mis. Mary Mc -
Auley of Milton Centennial Man-
or, Milton and also Mr. and Mrs.
Clifford Eastman of Burlington.
Barbara Wilkins and Barbara
Eagles of Southampton spent a
couple of days last week at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
Alton of London.
Mr. and Mrs. John Hunter,
Raymond, Jeffrey and Nancy .
spent Thursday in London'. They
visited with her mother, Mrs.
Prank Hamilton of Masonvilla
Nursing Home in London.
• Elva Ritchie and a friend Rosa,-
lea. Hackett spent part of last
week at Sa,uble• Beach.

ckles read the 119th Psalm.Pastor
The pioneer girls sang several
songs with Miss Jeannette Barr
accompanist.
Rev. Cowan showed the film
"Serango 1-larveit", which was
on India. "Perry Hodgins received
the offering.. The hymn "Lord,
thy Word abideth" was sung and
Rev. Cowan closed this part of the
meeting with prayer.
A special thanks' was given to
the pioneer girls and their leaders.
The secretary Miss May Boyle read
the minutes of the previous -meet-
ing and the treasurer, Mrs., Frank
Maulden, reported on' the 1972
canvas.
