AUGUST 1913 For twenty-six years the 'Vil- lage of LucknOw had the free use Of the MethodisvChurch bell for the, purpose of a ,file alarm.: The bell had become cracked and use- less as an instrument of sound and at the August meeting 1913 the council granted $112.50 toward the purchaseof a new bell for the Lucknow Methodist Church. The new bell continued to be used by both town, and church as the old one previously was. A great "Money-Saving Sale" was being advertised at the J. G.
