'Dungannon Women's Institute
met at the home of Mrs. Jack
Clements at Nile for their July
meeting on Thursday evening.
Twelve members were 'in attend-
'ance , and the past-president, Mrs.
Wilmer. Rutledge , conducted the
meeting. All felt. grateful that
the Clernents home had been
saved when fire destroyed their
barn on Monday morning.
Following the Ode and Mary
Stewart Collect the 'roll call
"Something I .learned from a new
Canadian" , brought forth 'thoughts
on religion, families working
together , culture and respect.
A brief business period'was held.
All 4-H girls planning to take the
Fall course "A World of Food in
Canada" , should contact their
leaders soon. Members who were
present signed a card to be sent, to
Mrs. Harvey Alton, president,
who is, in Victoria Hospital, Lon-
don.
The motto "There is no fellow-
ship surpassing that of a congen-
ial worker" was given by Mrs.
Clarence McClenaghan in her
pleasant manner. '
A variation'in the program was
enjoyed when Mrs,. Fred Young
conducted a number of exercises
in which 'all participated. Mrs.
Young then gave the topic on
Canadian Industries and told of
visiting the ,lime quarries - Ox-
ford's Grand Canyon, near Beams-
vine. •
Mrt. Rutledge'thanked Mrs.
Clements for the use of her
home , and all who participated.
Following the singing of "The
Queen" and the Institute Grace,
lunch was served by Mrs. Roy
Robson, Miss Iva *Carr and IVIrs.

On June 23rd at Sacred Heart
Church, Wingham, amid a setting
of white peonies, yellow irises
and lilies, Karen Anne Kieffer
and Ralph Joseph Weishar
pledged their marriage vows in a
double-ring ceremony. Rev.
Father M. Kaminski officiated at
the nuptial mass.
Miss Lavonne Ballagh of Wing-
ham was soloist singing "Wed-
ding Song" at the procession
"Ave Maria" at the offertory, "0
Perfect Love" at communion,
"The Love Theme from Romeo
and Juliet" at the signing of the
register, and "We've Only Just
Begun" at' the recession. Miss
Rosemary ,'Schmidt presided at
the church organ.
The:bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Oscar Kieffer, RR 1 '
Blueyale, and the. groom is the
son of Mr. 'and Mrs. Ralph
Weishar Sr. of RR 2 Teeswater.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a gown of
white sparkling organza with
chapel tr•ain, empire waist, -high
neckline, bishop sleeves with
tight self cuff and trimmed with
narrow. Italian lace. The gown
was designed and, made by the
.bride. Her double layered elbow
length veil of.tulle was held by a
jewelled Julie cap trimmed with
lace identical to the trim of the.
gown. She carried a cascade
bouquet of yellow Sweetheart
roses and ivy and wore an opal
necklace, gift of the groom.
. Maid of honor was her sister,
Elaine Kieffer, gowned in yellow
multi color flock flowered polyes-
ter sheer, with empire waist, full
puff sleeves and tie back sash. A'
yellow picture hat and cascade
bouquet of yellow and white
shasta daisies, completed her
cokume.
Bridesmaids were Misses
Janke, Bernadette and 'Diane
Kieffer, all deusins of the.ihride..
They were attired identichl to the
'maid of honor with the same
floral arrangements. Little
Tammy Lynn Kieffer, niece of
the bride was flower girl wearing
a floor length gown of the same
material and design as the
bridesmaids, and carrying a
colonial nosegay bouquet 9 of
yellow and white: shasta daisies.
Ring bearer was little Darrell,'
Weishar, youngest brother of the

identical to the attire of the
.groom and' his attendants. He •
carried a lace edged white satin
pillow bearing 'the rings.'
Frank Weishar .of Listowel was
his brother's best man. Ushers
were Daniel, Mervyn, and Joseph
Weishar, brothers of the groom.
A dinner and reception were
held at the Wingham Legion Hall.
Mrs. Kieffer received guests
wearing a floor length gown of,
orange ice floral sheer with
matching shoes and a corsage of
whiteSweetheart rose' buds. She
was assisted by' Mrs. VVeishar
wearing a floor length gown of
navy blue . fortrel crimp crepe
with full sheer ileeveS, white
trim and a corsage of pink sweet-
heart rosebuds.
The dinner table was centred,
by a round three tier wedding
cake decorated with fourteen
dozen tiny yelloW sweetpeas and
topped by a miniature bridal
party dressed in the theme
colors. Crystal candelabra, yet= ,
low candles, irises and yellow
and white streamers completed
the decor.
George Kieffer of Teeswater,
uncle of the bride,, was toast-
master. Honored guests were the
groom's grandmother, Mrs.
Andrew Weishar of Grimsby and
great uncle Harry Rienhart; the
brides' greatount Mrs. Margaret
Hauck of Brookhaven; god-
parent,'of the bride?, Mrs. George
Kieffer of teesiiirer, Iii1Cha'el
Cronin of Windsor; godparents of
the groom, Mt. and Mrs. Edward .
Reinhart of Mildmay and Rev.
Fathers Kaminski and Mulhall of
Teeswater.
Other guests attending were
from Nanaimo, B.C., Earltou,
Windsor, Grimsby, Toronto,
Preston, Missisiauga,Hamilton,
London, Woodstock, Kitchener,
Stratford, Listowel, Mildmay,
Teeswater, Bluevale, Wingham
and surrounding area.
For travelling to Niagara Falls
and northern U.S.A. the bride
wore a heavenly blue two piece
suit of puff crimplene with whit"
trim, white accessories and a
corsage of yellow roses.
The groom has accepted a
position with the Huron Perth
Separate School Board , and will
,be, teaching at Immaeulate
Conception School, Stratford.
