Dona Frayne was master of ceremonie and introduced the following th hers: solos by Bill Black, acconf panying himself on the guitar; songs by the pupils, of St. Joseph' school, accompanied by Denise: Dalton at the piano; solos by Donna Sue Errington, =opal ing herself on the guitar; piano solOs by Deniie Dalton; "Oliver" a musical show by the young people of the Parish which show ed a lot of good talents; songs 'bb ,,S.hawn, Paul and Jennifer Drell& with self -accompaniment on the, guitar and autoharp; Scottish dad cing 'by Kathy Simpson, accot pulled by. The president Mrs. Jack Barr presided and open- ed with a poem ,"No man is too big" followed 'by the hymn "Jesus the very thought of Thee". , • A film strip "Venture for Christ" was shown. Mrs. Tom MacDonald and Mrs. Ruth Wilson were in charge of the program. Mrs. Tom MacDonald read the scripture and conducted a question and answer period of the different religions of India and read an article about the diff- erent religious. Mrs. Ruth Wil- son, who. has corresponded for years with Pen pals from India, told of their religions, their prob- lems and progress. The hymn "What a friend we, have in. Jesus" and the Grace were sung. Prayer 'closed the meet- ing.' Refreshments were served and the August hostess will be Mrs. 'Don Robertson. Chalmers .'WMS WHITECHURCH NEWS On ' Wednesday at 2 p.m. Chal- mers W.M.S. and the C.O.C. met in the Sunday School room. Mrs. Bill Rintoul president gave the call to worship. Following a hymn Mrs. Rintoul led in prayer. The -scripture was read by Mrs. Earl Caslick. The Bible Story "Di the begin- ning" was given by Mrs. Johnston Conn. Donald 'de Boer gave a reading. An invitation was received from South Kinloss to attend their meeting October 8th when slides will be shown. A, thank you card was, received from Mrs. Gordon Rintoul for cards and visits while a patient in Wingham Hospital. The roll call was. answered with "Favorite Bible Study". Eddie de Boer received the offering. Donald de Boer gave the offering prayer.' Mrs. Bill'Evans. gave a reading Children of Special. Needs". Ws. John de Boer gave a reading. All sang Jesus is our Shepherd. Mrs. Bill Rintoul gave the closing pray- er. South Kinloss WAS. The July meeting of South Kinloss W.M.S. was held at the home of Mrs. Jack Needham. The President, Mrs. Bruce Ham- ilton presided. A Hymn was sung and The Lord's Praye re-. peated in unison. Several items of business were discussed - a letter was read from Brucelea Haven asking the Society to put on a programme at Brucelea October 25th. Mrs. • Donald MacIntyre and Mrs. Ira Dickie volunteered to take care of a programme and Mrs. Frank MacKenzie and Mrs, Ted Collyer to decide on treats. Members were reminded of the Life Mem- bership fund. Mrs. Jack Needham favoured with a piano solo. Mrs. Donald Maclntyre had the Study of India and slides were shown of India *. These pioved very interesting and Kingebridge has been accepted. It will be held on a Wednesday in SepteMber or October. Then Mr. Culbert explained his farm system, After they took up their '4-H Quiz, they had a very good lunch. , The Bible Study John 15 follo- wed with the group being divided and then discussing their probl- ems together. Courtesy remarks were given by Mrs. Harpld Campbell and the closing prayer by Mrs. Rank MacKenzie. Grace was sung and a tasty lunch was served.
