graduates who received degrees,,
diplomas and certificates during
three days of ceremonies which
marked Ryerson's 25th Anniver-
sary year.:
Since it was- established in
1948, Ryerson has graduated'
approximately 14,000 students,
many of whom hold important
positions in'the arts and in pro
fessional, business and industrial
fielcis in Canada ; the United
States and overseas.

Visit Europe
During Holidays.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Thompson
of Lucknow spent the newspaper
holiday period on a trip to Europe.
They travelled by air to'•London,
England where they joined a .con-
ducted bus tour which took them
to Holland, Germany, Austria,
Italy, Switzerland and France,
returning home by plane from
Paris
In February, at the Ontario
Weekly Newspaper Association
convention, they had won a trip
for two from Air Canada to any.- . -
where the airline flies. The
flight•was courtesy Air Canada
with the remainder of the tour by
bus, via American Express, at '
their own expense.
While in Amsterdam, Holland,
they spent an evening with Don's
sister and brother-in-law, Patricia
and Murray Hunter of Wingham
who were on another tour which,
by coincidence, was in Amster-
dam at the same time.
Mary Forster,' daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Forster of Ripley
stayed with the Thompson child-
. ren Susan,. Nancy and Donalda'
while their parents were away.
Lucknow, the 1972 winner, will
represent the Lucknow Agricultur-
al Society at the Queen of the
Fair Contest at the Canadian
National Exhibition in Toronto
on August 15th.
Judges for the contest were Mr.
and Mrs. //Don Kenwell,' Goderich;
Mrs. Eldred Reid, Tiverton and
Mrs. Koleen Garland, Kincardine.
