They sat down to a bountiful dinner at one o'clock after which the President, Mrs. Armstrong. Wilson, conducted a short busi- • ness meeting to arrange for a bus 'trip to the >;;rland Lee Horne in September. The reports were given of the District Annual and arrangements made to cater for one meal at the Craft Festival. After the business was complet- ed Mrs. Howard Barger and Mrs. Raymond Leddy had charge; of the games and program which were enjoyed by all, with everyone arriving home before the rain stor'tn. MacDonald, all of Rip •ley, took place in St. Paul's An- glican Church, Ripley on Satur- day, June 16th. at 6 p.m. Rev. G. Garratt officiated for the double ring ceremony. Given in marriage by her fath- er, the bride wore a floor -length gown of white swiss dot, with double tiered veil which fell in a long, flowing train. She carried • a bouquet of sweetheart roses, daisies and baby mums. Miss Kathy Farrell, sister of the bride as maid of honour wore a gown of green flocked swiss det and carried .a matching bouquet of daisies and baby mums. Bridesmaid, Miss Janice Far- rell, sister of the bride, was dressed in yellow swiss dot styled similarily to the maid of honour's. Darryl Gopaul of London was ' 'groomsman. Jim Farrell; broth- er of the bride, was usher. Miss Corinne MacDonald, sister of the groom, was soloist accom- panied ccom-panied by Miss Carol Courtney,, cousin of the groom, as organist., Bagpipes were played by Miss:Cor- inne MacDonald as the wedding party left the church. A reception followed in'the church parlour. Grandmothers of the couple, Mrs. Ada Farrell and Mrs. Clara, Courtney, were honour ed guests at the bride's table. Later in the evening an open re- ception was held at Ripley District High School with a large crowd attending: Guests were present from Montreal, Kitchener, Lon- don and Toronto. , The bride and groom are both graduates of the University of Waterloo. :They are both employed and residing in London at 606 CheapsideiStreet. Showers for the bride were given by classmates in Waterloo; 'tela- Live showers by Mrs. James D. Lowry and. Mrs. Gary Courtney, Farrell and Colwell relatives at St. Paul's Church, Ripley,High School friends at Miss Pat Mac- Charles' ac-Charles' and a Community Show- er at Purple Grove Community Centre. The groom was honoured by lab associates of St. Joseph's Hospital at the Latin Quarter,' London. KINL Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hod- gins and girls of Niagara spent the week end with his mother Mrs. Marretta Hodgins. The Pentecostal S.S, picnic was held on Saturday at the Ashfield Park. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Graham,. Richard Elliott, Edna , and May Boyle were dinner guests with Mrs. Dorothy Thompson at Kin- cardine Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Midford Wall visited on Sunday evening with Edna and May Boyle. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hodgins and. Lynne of Lucknow and Harry Hodgins of London visited on Sunday with Mr. and ,Mrs. Jack, Scott. Friends here were sorry to.hear of the death of Tom Brown on Sunday at the Kincardine and District Hospital. Tom worked in this area and was,well known by. concession 12 neighbours. Mrs. Shirley Whiteside returned to Toronto on Tuesday after spend• ing a few days: with her parents here. • Miss Jeanette Barr is enjoying a Western trip. r Mr. and Mrs. Bert Thompson and girls of Teeswater visited . Sunday with Mr, and Mrs. Tom MacDonald. Mrs. Frank Maulden, Mrs. John. Barr and Miss Winnifred Percy attended the funeral of the late Mrs. T. Patterson at Paisley. Mrs. Patterson who was 95 years of age was the former Jennie Greer. 40th ANNIVERSARY Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Sutton who: recently cele brateditteir 40th wedding anni- versary. 80th BIRTHDAY We also send best wishes to -Wesley Thompson of Kincardine (and formerly of here) who cele- brated his 80th birthday. A party was held in his honour. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Johnston of London visited recently with her brother Fred Guest. David Johnston of London is holidaying with Fred Guest.
