A shower was held on Friday
• evening in Whitechurch Memor-
ial Community Hall decorated
;with pink and white streamers for
.bride-to-be Doris Fisher.
While thecrowd was gathering

were conducted by Linda Wall
.and Helen Rintoul. Piano musical
numbers were played by Mrs.
Don Ross. Mrs: Bill Rintoul gave
a reading..
Joyce Tiffin read ashort address
to the bride-to-be. Miss Doris
Fisher, Miss Bennet and Mrs.
Bill Gibson were then called to ;
the platform. Miss Bennet
assisted Doris in opening the
gifts and her sister , Mrs. Gibson,
read the cards. Among .the gifts
received were cream and sugar,
salt and peppers, china ware,'
electric: percolator, pole lamp,
electric clock, bed spread. Joyce
Tiffin' and J. Sleightholm also. •
assisted with the gifts.. Doris
thanked the sponsors of the •
shower the folks for coming and
for their. gifts. All sang for She
is a Jolly Good .Fellow. Lunch
was then served.

W.I. , where Mrs.

and Consumer Affairs. Guests

Blyth, Brussels and 4 groups of
411 Girls.' •

Eleven Whitechurch Women's
Institute members attended the
W.I. meeting at Lucknow last
Wednesday evening, where the
guest speaker's subject was
"arthritis".
Mr. and Mrs. George Ross and •
Cheryl of Owen Sound spent the
week end with his mother Mrs.
Robert Ross. Cheryl remained
for this week to visit with other, •
relatives here.
Mr. and Mrs. John Willis and
baby.of Hanover spent Sunday with
his mother, Mrs. Doris Willis and
her parents, Mr. and. Mrs. Bill
Caslick of Culross.
On, Sunday Mr, and Mrs. Bill
Evans went to Kinlough and
brought Lisa, Larry and Linda
Evans, their grandchildren, who
.were holidaying with their grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs.. Bert Nich:
bison, to their home and entert-
ained them -with a trip to Goder-
ich.
Linda Moore spent the week -end
with •Mr. and Mrs. Bob Moore of
Lucknow vicinity.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Johnston. and
Mrs. Laura Jacques to Belmore on

union being held at Belmore..

on Saturday on a bus trip to

last for a workshop on Tweeds-:
muir Histories conducted by Mrs.'
R. C; Walker. Provincial Curator
Each curator, present received a
Yellow Tweedsmuir manual for
compiling Tweedsmuir Histories.
