The -bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. ,Ross Trewartha R. R. 4, Clinton and the groom ..A is the son. of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Webster. R. R. 3 Auburn. Rev. Lawrence•Lew.is officiated ' at the wedding service. Mary i Anne Alton, cousin of the groom was the soloist. The bride •enter- ed the church while the organist, '• Mrs. Doris McKinley, played The Sound of Music. Miss Alton sang 'The Wedding Prayer' and Time For Us'. ° Given in Marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length • gown of polyester satin trimmed with appliqued flowers and a matching train. Her cathedral length veil was edged with tiny daisies: and she carried a . bouquet of American beauty red. roses. Mrs. Marinus Bakker was mat- ron of honor and wore a floor • length gown of mint green poly- ester. The waist line and sleeves were trimmed with dainty yellow. rose -bud lace. The bridesmaids, Miss: Jannet Blake, cousin of REWARTHA the groom and Miss Ann Uyl, friend of the bride, were gowned identically to the matron of hon- or. They.wore green .' ribbons in their hair and carried bouquets of yellow mums. 'Allan Webster, brother of the groom, was best man and ushers were John Wolf, friend of the groom, and, Douglas Trewartha, brother of the bride. The recessional 'Edelweis' was sung by the soloist. Following. the ceremony, the bridal party was treated to .a hay wagon ride by area friends.. 'The wedding dinner ,was served at the.Ontario Street United Church, *here .the mother of the bride received guests in a floor length dress of multi -coloured mauve chiffon witha corsage of yellowSweetheart roses. • Accom- panying her, the mother of the 'groom received guests in a floor length gown of rose patterned chiffon with a corsage of -white sweetheart roses. .Rbis•Crich, London., uncle of the bride, was - master of ceremonies. . Followinga, reception at The White Carnation, Holmesville., *the couple left for a honeymoon in Eastern Ontario and Montreal. The bride travelled in a navy suit with accessories and a corsage of white carnations.. Warren is between Sudbury and North Bay.. On Friday Mrs. McCharles.jud- ged the Baking, Fine Arts and Flowers. One feature of the bak- ing was giant loaves of baked bread. These loaves were baked in roasting pans. Mrs. Mason. and Mrs. McChar- les judged the Baby Show , Dec - orated Bicycles and Pets on Satur- day. Oliver and Omar judged the cattle, hay and grain the same day. There were 109 cattle shown. On Sunday they held a Horse Show with between 200 and 300 horses participating. the wedding from Lucknow, Tor- onto, Guelph, Dunnville, London, Cardinal and Goderich. Prior to her marriage Marie had several showers given in her honour including a. kitchen shower at the home of Mrs.' Keith Tynd- all. by Mary East and Phyllis Tyndall; one at the home of Mrs. Phyllis Morrison; oneat the home of Mrs . • Ruth Baxter and one' at the home of Mrs. Albert Pdstma by Margaret Bakker. .
