Drennan clan enjo ped a • family' reunion in Detroit on May 20 when Mr. and Mrs. Nick Perry celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Mrs. Perry is the former Eva Drennan.' The Perrys, who were married in St. Joseph Church, Kingsbridge in 1923, celebrated their, annsver- sary with family, relatives; and members of their wedding parry, Guests included their daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and firs,, James White' and ?:sir. and, Mrs.. Charles Brinker, thirteen ?Alit - children and two great-g'randctild- ren. Members of the Perry's wedding party reunited for `the .occasion were Mrs. Michael Law of Lond- on, Ontario, the former M•:mica Martin, who was the Perry's bridesmaid, Mrs. Edwin King, also of London, the former Mary Clare, who was their flower girl and • George Drennan of Detroit, who was their best man. By TheSentinel • THAT Wallace Houston returned last week from Ghana, West •Africa, where he has been in the employ of the Terra Survey Company of Ottawa. He•came by way of Canary Islands and visited with friends in London, England. Wallace is an aero- plane mechanic and this time has also been doing aerial photo- graphy. He has been in Ghana since September, 1972. He returned on the week 'end to Ottawa. °THAT Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Elliott and -Jamie of Lucknow were guests of Miss Jeannette McDon- ald of Wingham at her gradua tion from St. Mary's School of Nursing, Kitchener on June 7th. Mr...and Mrs. Lorne McDonald entertained in honour of their daughter at a buffetluncheon at the Wingham Golf Club follow- ing the ceremonies. Mr. and. THAT on Saturday, June 2 the congregation of Essex United Church honoured Rev. and Mrs. Gordon Geiger on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniver- sary and the 25th anniversary of Mr. Geiger's ordination. Rev. Geiger ,is, a former minister of Lucknow United Church. THAT Lucknow Presbyterian Church was the scene on Satur- day of the Kennedy reunion and picnic. George Kennedy of West Wawanosh was. the presid- ent this year. A dinner was served at noon. ' In the after- noon, a dedication service was held at South Kinloss Cemetery in memory of Alexander Kennedy and his wife Elizabeth Gillies who were early pioneers born in Scotland and settling in this area in 1866. They were buried at South Kinloss in 1903 and 1921. THAT the trend with photograph- ers today hotograph-ers'today is to colour graduation and wedding pictures which are very pleasing to look at and, understandably in demand by the customer over black and • white. However, for reproduc- tion in the newspaper, they present many problems, the greatest, of which is the darken- ing of facial tones to the point where. they sometimes are not as. acceptable as we would like. If there is a choice, we would like to receive black and white prints, but if this is not possible, we will do the best we can with the colour photos. In any case, we welcome all graduation photos for publication in the paper. George, Douglas M.S. , S..T.M. , D.D. , a great grand- son of the first minister Alexander Grant, will preach at both services. Special music will. be provided under the direction of Mrs. Duncan Simpson, organ- ist and director ofpraise. Following the morning service noon luncheon will be served by the ladies.of the. congregation. This will furnish a time for fellowship and visiting among old friends who have returned to .their mother church for this his- toric occasion.
