Mrs. Ann Pritchard' played • traditional wedding music and accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Brian Dennyof of Guelph who sang For All We Know and The Wed- ding Song. .Given in marriage by her uncle Mr. George Elliott, Brus- Penny Carnival; At Kinloss Central On Thursday, May 17 the Kin- loss Central Public School had a Penny Carnival.. The Grades 3 and 4 of Mrs. Hodgin's class were putting it on for other classes. We were collecting the money for the Red Cross. We made $16.91. . The games we played were Bowling, .Guess. How Many, Spin the Dial, the Fish . Pond, Drbp the Penny in the Jar and The Sponge Throw,. Also we had our Fortune told. There was a Door.Prize and a Lucky Draw; a Candy Counter, a Magician and a Cupcake Eating Contest. The winner of Grade J. and 2 was Monica Hartemink; of Grade 2 and 3. was Richard Mac - Arthur; of Grade 3 and 4 was Marty Bolte and of Grade 4 and 5 was Brian Bushell. Murray Gilchrist won the Door Prize. Mark Haldenby won, the Lucky Draw. Mark Ackert and Kenny McFarlan won Guess How Many. There was a prize for Teresa ..Murray, 411an Eadie and Brian Murray for raising the most ,money at their game. Venician lace flowers formed a deep yoke on the bodice and also decorated the long full sleeves which were gathered into a narrow cuff at the wrist. Tiny lace flowers also enhanced the bottom of the skirt. Her Juliette cap was'caught•with a four -tiered pure silk net should- er length, veil trimmed with tiny' pearls. She carried a ' bouquet of yellow roses and . white shasta daisies. Her attendants were Miss Mary Gibson; Brussels as maid of hon.- our on-our and Miss..Laurie Chisholm., sister of the groom and Miss Joan Elliott, cousin of the bride, as bridesmaids. 'Cathy Chisholm, i sister of the groom, acted as flower girl. All the attendants 'wore gowns of Spanish satin in ;shades of mauve, yellow, pink sand green respectively. Pinafores of polyester voile, flowered to `snatch the dresses were also worn. Each had tiny flowers in their hair to match the colour of their dresses. The attendants each car- ried baskets of mums in colours to match their dresses. Peter Smith; .;friend of the • groom, was best man. The ush- ers were. David Colquhoun, Lon- don, cousin of the bride, and Mark Chisholm, brother of the groom. The bride's mother wore a street length 'flowered polyester silk .dress with a pale blue full length vest and a corsage of pink mums. The groom's mother chose a -street length dress of poly ester lace in an orange ice shade. She wore black accessories. Her corsage was white .mums.. Guests of honour attending the wedding were the groom's grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Chisholm, Goderich and Mrs. . Pearl Watson, Auburn.. Following a dinner in the church, a reception was held in Canadian Legion Hall, Brussels , with dancing to the music of the Nite -Lites . For a short wedding trip to Eastern Ontario, the :bride donned a white pant suit flecked with navy and a navy blazer trimmed with white and .a corsage of yellow mums. Out of town guests were pres- ent from Vancouver, 13.C., Toronto, Hamilton, Burlington,. Guelph, London, Goderich, . Palmerston and Listowel. Prior to their marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ritchie and Mr. ° and Mrs. G. Chisholm hosted the bride and groom elect at a party in Lucknow. -Other showers for the bride were held at' Luck- now and Brussels.. . Hostesses , were Miss Joan Elliott and Miss Mary Gibson , .Brussels; Mrs., , Pearl` Watson, Auburn; Mrs. Margaret Cameron, Lucknow, • Miss Laura Scholl, Lucknow; and Mrs. Mary Huether.
