• On Tuesday last little Debbie
Rintoul of Kettieby, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Rintoul,
fell on the• stair steps and .fractur-
ed her arm between the elbow and
shoulder. The community wishes
her a speedy recovery.
London Lawyer
Is Huron Judge
Francis G. Carter, a native of
Newfoundland and at present a•
practising lawyer in London,' has
been named Huron County judge,
tosucceed the late R. S. Hether-
ington. Judge Hetherington died • •
on April 5th this year.
Mr. Carter, who is 50 years of
age; received his education at
schools and university in New-
foundland and at Osgoode Hall,
Toronto. At Osgood he was the ,
winner of the Sir George Johnson
Scholarship and was called to the
bar in 1950. •
For two years Mr. Carter was
on the staff of The Financial Post
before entering practice. He has
written numerous articles on the'
legal history of Middlesex County
and is a former president of the
Middlesex Law Association. A
separate school trustee for the
past six years, he -is a past presi-
dent of the Ontario. Separate
School Trustees' Association and
author of a book, "Judicial Deci-
sions on Denominational Schools'.
